Hey all, been here for quite some time as my join date would suggest, starting back when we first found out about the Civic Type-R coming to the states. I'd had mostly Hondas throughout the years, including 2 RSX-S's, an '03 Si Hatch, '11 Si Sedan, '05 S2000, etc., so it seemed like an obvious choice. Even though I had thought very hard about buying one when they first came out, I opted to change it up for once and got a '15 Chevy SS 6MT that I absolutely loved. Unfortunately, after 9+ years of ownership, I had a lifter failure that impacted the engine to the point of rebuild or swap, and came to a crossroad on what to do next. I had been kicking around the FL5 at this point, but once Acura debuted the Integra Type-S, I now had a tougher decision to make on which Honda K20C platform I wanted. Ultimately, I have a more hardcore Honda in the S2000 CR, and this car would be one that I would still rip backroads and an occasional auto-x/track day down the road, but would mostly be a fun car around town. Couple that with wanting to branch out more from my daily '19 Civic Sport Hatch, the Integra made the most sense.

At first I didn't want to get Double Apex Blue Pearl given that it would mean 3 blue cars, but it popped so good and was too gorgeous not to do it. At least with my S2000 being Apex Blue Pearl (the original one from '08, not the knock off ABP Acura tried to market a couple years ago 😁), I thought it would be cool to have the two together.

I don't have any immediate plans for the car as I want to keep my warranty and such in one piece, and personally I feel the car is so great out of the box... but eventually the mod bug will hit lol. I'll post photos/updates along the way, cheers!

Welcome to the DAB crew. Beautiful garage!

Also recommend the mud guards, some of the folks here suggested them because of the way the tires kick up rocks into the wide fenders.

Going to take a page out of your book and will probably do the black badges and emblems at some point too, post pics when you swap them!!
