I’ve got the hondata flash pro and everything great. I got this wild hair to have the resonator out and straight piped put in. It’s cool it’s louder but now the car seems to just pop and bang alll the damn time “shift at 2500rpm BANG-POP” way more then it did before.. I’m cool with it being louder exhaust notes but the crazy pops and bangs are getting to be a lot. Anybody know how to raise the limit of when they happen ? I like to be in sport + mode all the time so just switching out of that doesn’t help. Any help on this be great.

You have three options either you don't drive in Sport Plus, turn off pops and bangs in hondata or install the factory resident in your back or a smaller vibrant one.

In your Hondata which pops and things do you have selected

If the default pops/bangs are too much Hondata will allow you to tweak the settings a bit to tone things down if you'd prefer that route rather than completely killing them.

Had the same experience when I installed my Borla exhaust. Pops and bangs a ton in Sport+ now. Almost every single liftoff at low-mid rpm.

I drive almost exclusively on Sport now but will switch it to Sport+ when I want to be a bit obnoxious.

Chatting with a tuner now, said he can take them out and clean things up. So we will see if I go that route. I listen to clips of the borla and it seems to sound very similar to just cutting out the resonator .

Mine got loud with the q300 but once I swapped that resonator for a megaphone it got diabolical

currently custom e tuned. I’m thinking of removing the type s oem like pops all together. Just cuz of a fear of fuel dilution. Plus I barely drive and do tons of short trips, I’m sure that doesn’t help matters either.

Yea now looking at an exhaust system now. And chaffing with an E tuner. Said could remove them for me too. But yea I just drive around where I live running kids to stuff. But now the cars pops and bangs need to go.

I don't think any exhaust will make it tamer the only option is to add back a resonator but I could be wrong
