Finally had a chance to wrap up all my mods, and I saved this until last. They feel thicker than than standard OEM mats. My original mats were used for 2,600 miles, vacuumed every 1-2 weeks, but never spray treated with Scotchguard. The new one in the picture have already been treated with Scotchguard. They seemed to be a darker/richer tone of black out of the box. It’s almost a shame that I have to step on these since they are so nice. Would recommend to anyone looking to spruce up their interior.

Also, does anyone have any tips on how to prevent wear/matting (especially when shoe is damp) where your heel rocks back and forth? I have seen a Mugen metal plate that clamp onto the actual mat, but it seems so big and gaudy. Any other alternatives?

Those look great!

I don’t think this tip is helpful in your case, but with my all weather HD rubber mats in my Ram it had this weird, extremely subtle vibration on my heel that made it numb & not comfortable so I placed my nice oem hybrid rubber & carpeted mats over the all weather ones for comfort. I’m a 2 foot driver even on auto transmissions & it helped for sure.

I’d hate to drill holes through those nice mats of yours, but I’d think that you could find a piece of material to your liking & add a snap on version of it in all 4 corners of the piece.

Or Velcro? Either way, I don’t think there’s a way around messing with the carpet of the mat. Unless they start to make one especially for manual transmissions.
