I noticed all the symptoms for a bit and got worried.
Worth trying... try utilizing the whole steering radius (fast and full lock left/right) during your drives. I had a couple days where I had to do the most K / U-turns in my life and steering feels smooth and responsive like when I bought...
Pointed it out to my service advisor during my B service. He acknowledged it as an issue and took photos of both (i pulled out a portable shop light to help photograph them 😅). Pending on Acura Corporate Approval 🤞
Interesting! I went from OEM to Akebono Ceramics on my A4.
Brake dust was like night vs day. The stock ones looked like you drove through a cool mine after a day.
The initial bite was softer for me and I had to put more effort on the brake pedal to stop in the same distance as stock. Made...
Hand washed the car a few months ago and noticed it. Ignored it for a couple months since you can only see it from certain angles. But after washing it recently I can't unsee it. Was trying to save a trip to the dealer and go when my oil change is due but I'm at 40%. Sent Acura Customer service...
There is some felt tape on the lower half from factory but it's the little accordion piece that rubs on the seat that it rubs against. It's starting to wear the area where the seat contacts it.
Revving 1st to around the 4 - 4.5k makes 1 > 2 smooth for me.
I prefer the auto rev match on as a daily. Took it off for a couple weeks and it didn't notice a improvement in shifting.
I do wish engine braking was more useful and the shift knob had a different grip tho.
Yea if you hold down...
The seat creaking was so bad on my way to the dealer so I sat in the car and waited for the tech to hop in.
Then we did a test drive...you could barely hear it... :(
So a few of my doors are off and a passenger fender is raised slightly. When I press the door down with my hand it will sit flush. I went to one dealer in So Cal and service guy mentioned it's pretty common, his RDX was like that and then he took photos to forward it to a body shop but I...
Driver rear - dealer just took a photo and sent to acura, we will see. I had a different dealer look at it while i was in So Cal and they wanted to send it to a body shop. :hmm:
Color match is good on mine but... most my doors were not aligned properly and there are paint runs in areas. I also got a stress crack on a door.
One dealer wanted to send it to body shop but there was a queue with no ETA. Going to another dealer tomorrow to see how it goes.
I've heard about the even drop springs lowering the rear too much. But the 1.3 front 1.0 rear should compensate for it on this kit in theory.
Did you add camber adjustments? --Negative camber could give the illusion that the tire is more tucked into the wheel well.
I asked Eibach directly and here was their response:
Fronts are 137-177 lbs/in , and rear springs are 86-255 lbs/in
So, going off these specs the fronts are slightly stiffer than stock when full compressed and the rears are softer
(assuming we have the same spring rates as the SI which is...
My driver seat is so creaky on start/stops/shifting all of a sudden. I can also make the sound by wiggling back and forth.
I encourage people to take advantage of their dealer warranty. The more reports of issues the better for the community!
I've already scraped the bottom of my front bumper on stock height cause the curb was too high at a parking space.. a lip would have been punched out. Now i gotta approach every parking space like a skeptic. 😅
My only wishlist item now is lightweight rims and better tires.
