U think the type s being sold in Japan will actually happen in 2027?Keep an eye on shipments to Japan.
I believe Acura already announced they’d start selling in Japan in the second half of the year, and that they’d be LHD. I think it’s common for European manufacturers to sell LHD in Japan.U think the type s being sold in Japan will actually happen in 2027?
to me it seems too quick. Getting the assembly lines ready for a rhd car can’t happen that quick can it?
im willing to be wrong. Would be cool if it did get sent there for the sake of finally fucking getting red badges
Oh that’s cool! Red badges when?!I believe Acura already announced they’d start selling in Japan in the second half of the year, and that they’d be LHD. I think it’s common for European manufacturers to sell LHD in Japan.
That would be wild for a japanese brand to sell new LHD cars in Japan. Not illegal but OEMs are *very* highly encouraged to sell RHD only domestically.I believe Acura already announced they’d start selling in Japan in the second half of the year, and that they’d be LHD. They mentioned it here: https://acuranews.com/en-US/release...ntegra-type-s-high-performance-model-to-japanThat would be wild for a japanese brand to sell new LHD cars in Japan. Not illegal but OEMs are *very* highly encouraged to sell RHD only domestically.
Ah it's still gonna be US built, I guess that makes a little more sense.
I've heard from an acura tech and a service manager Honda is struggling and penny pinching so 27s are a bit behind. Supposedly there's talk of scrapping the Integra altogether in the 28 model yearHas anyone heard anything from their dealers? I believe at this time last year the 2026s were already trickling into dealerships...
I checked motoring obsession and it looks like 2026 inventories are actually going up rather than down the last 2 weeks lol.
I can see that. They sell less than type r’s after all. And the civic si was heavily de contented due to the existence of the integra a spec.I've heard from an acura tech and a service manager Honda is struggling and penny pinching so 27s are a bit behind. Didn't they cancel the type r and the k20c? It doesn't meet Japanese or euro emissions standards. The US standards are super lax now so we may get it until 2028 or even 2030, but I can't see them keeping it past that right now or spending time developing up.I can see that.
