Hi Everyone. I am looking to either upgrade to the two step downpipe or doing full exhaust ( thermal, remark, Dc) I am just unsure which to do. I am not looking for much on the performance side just want some better sound. This is my daily but i love the driving experience. I did ugrade to the PRL high intake already. Looking for suggestions.

I think with downpipe you’d need a tune; someone can chime in and correct me if I’m misinformed. You can get some good sound out of modding stock exhaust (removing resonator(s)) or installing a new one. There are a couple threads on here discussing and showing examples of new exhausts for the different variations of the car I.e CVT, 6MT, TypeS. I’d run some searches on here and the integra facebook group to get some vetted feedback and sound clips etc

I have a nearly fbo CVT with no tune yet. All is good. I have the intercooler upgrades arriving this week, and for tuning im trying to hold off until I do an off-schedule transmission oil change around 10k miles (currently 4500).

I went with the RV6 downpipe - the TSP Downpipe was designed by PRL but I was slightly spooked by it because PRL no longer makes downpipes. Probably unfounded on my end, but to each their own. I think a lot of people like the TSP downpipe.

I installed the RV6 downpipe, PRL frontpipe, PRL RMM, and PRL N1 exhaust on the same install. After first startup with all of that I said there's a little demon living in there now.. Lol.

As a daily driver, have to admit its slightly louder than I like, but easy to get used to paired with the performance gains. I ordered 24sqft of dynamat for the trunk to alleviate the cabin noise a little, still need to install though. Also may need to fiddle with the exhaust hangers to reduce vibration a bit.

Something to note - if you're going to a 3in downpipe/frontpipe, the stock exhaust could be a bit of a bottleneck with its smaller diameter.

I liked the switch to the single tip exhaust for the 4 cylinder as it's more efficient - in my mind the dual tip is just for show here.

Another note - ran into some ground clearance issues after installing the exhaust (very steep driveway, stock muffler was already scraping on stock suspension).

Thank u for all the information. Sounds like u doing it all! I am thinking I will start with the TSP downpipe with stock exhaust. Then assess the sound. Then maybe go front pipe. I haven't heard much research on upgrading the front pipe unless I did a full cat back exhaust.

Nope, only CEL so far was when I forgot to plug the air intake sensor in after an install ?. Cleared after a drive cycle
