Exactly... sadly a lot of those great cars were products of their time... and that time has passed. The new normal is a lot less fun and varied. But there are still great "small" DD worthy cars to be had... they're just not going to look exactly like what they did 20+ years ago. And with shifts...
The integra was always just a dressed up civic... it may have existed with a different ethos than the civic... but just for fun I pulled up some pictures of the 95 civic coupe and a 95 integra coupe. Guess what? They're essentially the same cars with the exception of the front/rear fascias and...
Very nice! Definitely more skill than I have at this kind of stuff. I’m a huge Apex Blue stan but I also think white, and a light (similar to sonic gray) color would be nice. I can also see black being a popular choice. I also hope they throw on the dark purple offered on the TLX into the mix...
It’s also worth noting that VW and Audi SERIOUSLY underrate their engines figures. But. The lighter integra with the DCT should in theory not have much issue pulling 0-60 numbers in the low 6s (6.2-6.3) based on the fact the 10th gen civic manual could manage 6.5. I kinda wish that they look at...
Agree he has great skills as an artist. But a lot of his redesigns are just…. Meh. I get that he’s obviously a hyper purist and tries to make things that look like the originals, but at the sake of making things actually that would work or be possible. Whenever he “redesigns” an older car for...
I think it was SketchMonkey. He has another channel where he just does reviews (as opposed to his main redesign channel) and yea he bashed the Integra design hard for not being a coupe and not having a wing and just totally hated on it for looking anything like any other Acura product.
I consider myself acuras target demographic. I’m 33, corporate professional who’s owned Hondas all my driving life (all civics, sedans and coupes). I remember lusting after the RSX as a kid learning to drive. And I’m finally in a place in my life of looking to jump up market into something still...
it was actually more of a cement gray color (like offered on the Kia K5). But it works as a silver too. I wasn’t able to get a true white or black to work. Thanks tho!
They might've tweaked the overall housing shape for the HVAC controls, but they look VERY similar... probably the exact same knobs and overall layout, just with shape differences to account for the grab bar connecting the dash to the shifter area. Not a bad thing, reviewers rave about the HVAC...
I'm really hoping it gets the fender flares and widened stance of the Type R. Take the Si as a starting point, give it CTR stance, most of the civic's new interior is more than good enough for entry level premium class, so just a few visual tweaks inside and adjustments to fabrics and materials...
You have to do some deep digging because the actual images are a few years old... they ended up getting reposted a bunch when the Integra was announced this year, so it's alot of new articles popping up, but they're circulating old images. I've found multiple older articles about these renders...
Those images/spy shots were all fake. Based off and created from an artists rendering of what a new RSX/Integra coupe would look like. He or someone else then photoshopped camo onto the rendering and placed it in real life photos. Sadly, they've been debunked for some time now.
It also doesn't...
If they used the Accord/CRV hybrid setup that makes 212hp that would be a good fit for the Integra (or civic). I doubt they'd go FULL nsx tech which had 3 electric motors (2 for the front wheels, and another assisting the engine/rear wheels). In my mind, if they were going to do a hybrid SH-AWD...
Even though it'll probably just be a visual reveal (exterior and interior) without any hard specs or trim info, I'm super excited to see how Acura evolved the Civic Hatch into the new Integra visually and sets it apart when the camo is stripped off.
As someone else noted it doesn't look like it'll share any panels with the civic hatch, the one exception possibly being the roof panel, but nobody would even notice that. I think the windows may also be the same shape/size as the civic.
It's definitely got different character lines. While it...
