Apologies if there is another thread regarding this topic; I thought I saw one in the past, but couldn't find anything in my search.
We are now 5600 miles and 11 months into the ownership of my 23 Aspec Tech Integra. In the beginning, we had battled through a litany of electrical gremlins...
With these new cars, it's not actually full boost. It's full torque. They achieve the flat torque curves by small changes in boost as the revs rise by minute changes in how far the wastegate is opened. Im sure tere's a lot a programming and testing that it took to get to that point, but...
You're comparing the torque of a k20a to a k20c. Therein lies the rooted issue. You also note that the lighter car pulls harder which is well, physics.
A few considerations:
1. The low profile tires on the ITS do not have much sidewall to flex prior to breaking traction. This is why you see...
Well you got the experience I was hoping for today. No ITS were on the lot for me. Big sad. A better clutch + better motor mounts + more power + better noise would be my list of improvements I want from my aspec in that order.
GOOD NEWS! ACURA IS ACKNOWLEDGING THIS ISSUE EXISTS!!!
I arrived for my A1 service today and spoke with the SA regarding the connectivity as it happened to me immediately prior to my 30 mile drive to the dealer.
The SA stated Acura is aware of the issue, they know it is a software issue with...
I had some vibration on my drive home from the dealer around 3000-3500rpm in 6th light throttle on the highway. Came and went on that drive, couldn't get it to replicate under any of the same circumstances. Assumed it was the road or the new not quite balanced tires. 5600 miles later I havent...
There is no vtec to kick in. Vtec is solely for partial throttle fuel economy and is disabled at WOT. It sounds as though you are having either a wastegate/turbo issue or a boost leak. Car should still be new enough to have the bumper to bumper warranty so why not take it to the dealer with your...
It's clear there was a qc issue with LCM that is being horribly mishandled at this point. I hope the lot of you waiting on your cars get answers. Unfortunately, when in the position of "oh I fucked up" most corporate types like to deflect...
Almost a year into ownership and the head unit is still getting the occasional reboot.
Knowing the issue is present now, the reboots are less common as usually it will reconnect on its own after a few drive cycles. If it spans more than 2-3 days I get annoyed enough to reboot.
I didnt really notice the LSD in the snow we got last winter. It maxed out at only about 4" while I had the car. It was higher while getting warranty work and I was driving a SHAWD MDX loaner (super fun in the snow). In dry and wet conditions I can definitely feel the LSD working compared to...
The communication from them was awful through the whole process. In person was the only way I didn't have to force it. Looks like you're in the same state so the sales tax debacle I went through shouldn't affect you so that's a plus.
I'm assuming (at least at the time) the communication was so...
Although I prefer the a spec versus si aesthetically, from what i see in these pictures I have to go against the grain here and say I prefer the type r to the type s even with the controversially large spoiler on the type r.
