I’m excited to see them on the street, read input from actual owners once they get them, etc. The car just ended up not being what I was looking for when looking at the entire package.
I have a pretty good idea who you’re referring to though. I’m not going to personally attack someone because...
If it’s anything like the heated wheel installation in my TLX, you’ll swap the chrome trim piece with the badging at the bottom over to the new wheel, along with the wheel trim and buttons (this is a great time to buy the matte black trim piece from the Civic to replace the gloss black piece on...
Agreed on the interior of the Integra at its price point.
That was my personal takeaway after sitting in an A-Spec Tech two weeks ago, which started to cast some doubt in my mind about switching from my TLX to an ITS. Then when the price was announced, it sealed the deal.
Are people being rude to one another?
At the price point I’m not interested, but if someone wants to spend their money on one, more power to them. It doesn’t affect me.
I’m with you on the value proposition not being there. Sitting in an A-Spec Tech and looking at the materials/build quality/features, I couldn’t imagine spending $15k more and getting the same interior. For a daily driver, it lacks features that I would expect to be present at the $50k+ price...
I’m one that pulled my deposit. I have no interest in the car at $55k after TTL.
Having said that, 200 units is not a lot, and I imagine they’ll sell out from either people wanting the Acura, or waiting for a CTR and being able to get this sooner.
That’s another car I never understood. It’s...
No memory driver seat either.
Hell, I was disappointed in the quality of the interior coming from a ~$50k TLX. I couldn’t imagine coming to the ITS from a Porsche and being OK with the interior unless you only planned to track the car (in which case, buy a CTR).
When I went to look at an A-Spec Tech to get a sense of the interior materials and build quality, I was a bit surprised by the screen. It feels small, and looks like it should be wider (like the one in the Accord).
Maybe in 2-3 years when the MMC comes out, it'll have a wider screen in it along...
Agreed. People were shocked at the FL5's price compared to the FK8. And as you said, $7k more for the ITS than the FL5, and for what?
You get a HUD with limited displayed info, inferior seats that are heated, and a nice stereo system (I do like the ELS 3D system in my TLX, it sounds great)...
Honestly, if they put the TLX/RDX version of the K20C in it along with the revised 10AT found in the TLX-S as an option, and the SH-AWD system, it would've been a great option that differentiated itself from the CTR.
I've got a K20C and SH-AWD in my TLX, and it's a nice combo. The K20C is...
I unfortunately don't have the luxury of owning multiple cars (well, my wife has her midsize SUV, and I have my car), so my car needs to be a "do it all" car for me, where its primary duties are driving me to/from work, running errands, etc. The Integra has a few usability improvements over my...
The only thing that will cause people to sell is if businesses start doing mass layoffs across all industries, and people can no longer afford their mortgages, so they’re forced to sell.
I don’t new new home starts rising significantly with interest rates where they are, and interest rates...
A. The seats look nothing alike. One can simply look at the ITS seats to see that they are not the TLX seats
B. In the marketing materials, they point to stiffer bolstering materials. Not a different design, just stiffer bolstering (which is needed, because the regular Integra bolstering is...
That's not how it works. While all of those cars share a common design language with their interiors (a trend that we're seeing across the autmotive industry), the body-in-white of those cars are entirely different, which means that the dash, consoles, etc. are completely different, requiring...
Yes, it's right around $8k between the Si and A-Spec Tech.
But the problem that I think a lot of people have is, we don't get some of the cool stuff from the Type R (sporty seats, special digital gauge cluster, LogR feature). The ITS gets the same seats as the base Integra, just with stiffer...
A lot of people were expecting ~$48k.
$52k is $4k more than what people were expecting, more than 8% of the total price people were expecting.
Also, where is there $8k in value over the CTR? The seats are heated, but not as nice, and not real leather. You get a HUD with limited functionality...
"luxury" features the ITS is missing that my similarly priced TLX has:
Sunroof
HomeLink rear view mirror
Auto up/down all 4 windows
Rear air vents
Ventilated front seats
Memory driver seat
Power passenger seat
Optional heated steering wheel
Yes, the ITS and the TLX aren't exactly the same car...
FYI, trade-in estimators were telling me $37-38k for my car. I texted my dealer and he said they'd be at $33-34k.
IMO, you're going to have to haggle to get close to what the online trade-in estimators are saying.
