While not a confirmation on the rears, the fronts are faux leather with the microsuede insert (has been confirmed on the various Acura presentation/slides floating around), and I have a hard time imagining that Acura would put fake leather in the two seats that would be used the most, and real...
It's nice to see some updates are part of the mid-cycle refresh. Hoping we'll see the same with the Integra for the 2026 MY as far as interior improvements/amenities go.
It really is impressive. The lane-keep assist and lane centering is much better in my wife's 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe than it is in my 2021 Acura TLX. It can practically drive itself on the highway, and if your car has their Highway Drive Assist 2, it can automatically change lanes for you as well...
In the right light there will be. MBP has a lot of pearl flake in it, so when the sun is out the flakes really pop. But in overcast conditions it'll just look black.
Also, maybe it's just where I live and the amount of pollen/rain/snow we get throughout the year, but I could never own a black...
MSRP won't go down.
If the economy takes a dump and dealers have trouble moving them, you may see some incentives on them, but there won't be a reduction in MSRP.
If it’s something you plan on keeping, I’d recommend PPF’ing the front bumper, mirror caps, and do at least a partial hood and fender.
I’ve PPF’d the last 3 cars I’ve had(paid to have it installed, didn’t do it myself), and it’s been worth it because both my wife and I take the highway to work...
Why not, plenty of brands are bringing back classic nameplates after years/decades of some alphanumeric combination.
Integra certainly sounds better than ILX. I wish they would've brought the Legend nameplate back as well instead of TLX. I could see how it made sense for the first gen, where...
Yikes...
Hearing this makes it sound like even Acura's own IT department figured people wouldn't want to reserve it at $52k, and wasn't expecting any web traffic.
Hoping those of you that keep having issues are able to get a reservation through the system.
Yeah, the $8k delta between the CTR and ITS gets you the Acura exterior (which I think looks better than the CTR), faux leather heated seats but they're not as sporty as the ones in the CTR, a HUD that is limited in what it can display, and the ELS 3D Stereo (which is a really great factory...
Enthusiast crowd, yes. Younger crowd? I'm not sure how many young people are buying cars that cost $55k OTD.
Also, as a TLX owner, apparently I'm no longer part of the "young crowd", as I just turned a decrepit 34 years old.
They could've done both, like they do for the regular Integra (offer a 6MT or the 10AT).
Oh well, we should've known once the base Integra came out that the ITS was just going to be a badge-engineered carryover from Honda, but we tried to remain hopeful and optimistic.
Still, the thought of an...
No idea why they do the lottery honestly.
If they have 200 cars in the initial batch, why not just allocate them to their higher volume/better rated dealerships?
It's probably so that they can make some sort of claim about how the car "sold out in __ minutes!".
If they had taken the ~280hp K20C4/C6 from the Accord/RDX/TLX, offered it with the quicker shifting 10AT from the TLX-S/MDX-S in addition to the 6MT, and offered SH-AWD, it would've been a really interesting car.
Yes, it would've been heavier than the CTR, but the ITS is supposed to the car...
But will those looking for an FL5 flock to the DE5? Maybe.
However, the ITS doesn't have the panache that the CTR does. It doesn't have the history, it doesn't have the lap record credentials, it doesn't have the features like the highly bolstered seats and unique digital gauges & displays...
Agreed.
If Jerome Powel had done his job properly back in 2017 and started slowly raising interest rates when corporate taxation was low and the economy was singing along, the Fed would've been in a much better position to deal with the economic slowdown caused by the pandemic. But that wasn't...
I have no doubt the 200 cars will sell out. 200 cars is not a lot for the entire country, and between the people that really want one and the financially illiterate people that'll roll over negative equity from a trade-in to get one, they'll sell out.
What I'll be more interested in is what the...
The FK8 stickered at $38k for the 2020 MY.
The FL5 stickers at $44k (+15.8% over the 2020 FK8, but $38k in 2020 dollars is $44k in 2023 dollars).
Inflation sucks when wages don't keep pace, while corporations pump out record profits and just keep raising prices.
As they say, past performance is no guarantee of future results, espeically with the market how it is today. 5 year T-Notes are at 3.40% today. SPY is up 3.2% over the past 6 months. The banking sector isn't looking at the moment (IYF is down 11.78% over the past 6 months). Inflation is still...
