The automatic headlight function is my biggest complaint with this car. It's absurd you can never turn them off, and the sensor seems to turn them on everytime the front of my car is not pointed directly at the midday sun.
I think I've finally figured out what is behind this scenario. If my key fob and iPhone are in the same pants or jacket pocket, the smart access system will not lock or unlock my car. If I move one of the items, it subsequently works.
Has anyone else experienced this?
The seats in my Integra A-spec Tech heat up nicely, better than other Japanese cars I've owned. I was attributing this to the suede.
My European cars get hotter than the Integra. It could be a function of other cars you are used to.
Are you experiencing the same temperature on both seats?
My experience was with a highly rated Mazda 3GT and I felt the same disappointment. Last year I had a CX5 rental on vacation and again couldn't figure out why it's so loved. I almost feel like Mazda has a bunch of bots spamming forums. The cars never live up to the hype for me.
I've had this same thing happen about 5 times since November. I've noticed it is often accompanied by my inability for the door to sense my fob upon arriving at the vehicle. I'm leery to take it in since it is so infrequent. Anyone else also experiencing this?
I just noticed this feature Monday. The wipers made a loud noise upon power up, due to ice on them and the windshield. I am hoping this quirk does not lead to problems with the wiper motor.
Thanks for this follow up. The symptoms appear to get worse over time in the Civic, and steering rack replacement (which are backordered) seems to be a lasting fix. Hopefully yours is something different but if not at least the remedy is known.
The light thing is so frustrating! That and the poor rear visiblity are my only two complaints. Interesting to see you have the same ones listed.
Sounds like the first one drove better. Why did you switch?
