I have roughly 8,000 on my PS4S and will rotate them this spring once I swap them back on for the DWS06+ Iām running over the winter. Seems like for my particular use that rotating them when doing the swap each spring makes sense.
I have tuxmats on my type S. They are awesome. So good Iām contemplating getting a set for a different vehicle even though I already have weather techs on that one.
Not sure what fit issues youāve seen, but mine are perfect.
Itās a very easy process. When I installed my Mugen knob all I had to do was rotate the collar about 90 degrees and pull down. It came right down. Then I took the surround trim off, cut the zip tie, put a new acuity collar on, fresh zip tie, and installed the knob. Maybe 15 minutes.
Right - I have had vehicles with Nokian tires for a long time, both their dedicated winter tires and the āall weatherā. I just donāt know if OP wants a dedicated winter tire or an all season. I donāt drive my S in the winter that often as I have other options, so the Conti DWS 06+ serve me...
If you want a dedicated winter tire, you cannot beat Nokian. They are great in winter weather. For an all season, the continental DWS 06+ are very good.
I know there is at least one other in my area, but Iāve never seen it. The only time I have seen one is once closer to the eastern side of NY close to NYC and then when I met up with another owner in the Northern VA area.
The seats havenāt bothered be one bit and Iāve done a few long trips with my ITS. One was 6 hours one way and the others have been 10 hours one way. I would not mind a taller 6th gear but thatās a minor issue in the grand scheme of things. Even at 80 this car will get 28 mph. Thatās perfectly fine.
I dropped my car off yesterday evening. They called at 2:30 it was done. I donāt know when they brought it in but it was originally scheduled as a 10:30 drop off. All seems fine. Of course I didnāt have issues to begin with.
Yeah I donāt understand why I couldnāt have waited either. Will keep you posted once I get it back. I donāt think I ever had any issue with the steering so this should be interesting.
Taking mine Thursday and that was the same thing I was told as well. Iām guessing itās the same dealer. So Iām gonna drop off and then pick up later in the day / after work.
I wonāt drive on the stock tires once the temps get below 45. So I have a second set of wheels with DWS06+ on them that I use from November - late April / early May. Iām in western New York and donāt need to drive my ITS in the snow, but I do need to be safe when itās cold and damp out. The...
Installed the Mugen ball shift knob and acuity shift boot collar. Pretty easy install. The zip tie is the hardest part to be honest. As an FYI the stock knob is 244g and this is 175.
Iām pretty sensitive to rattles and have said to my wife ādo you hear that?ā She then responds āwhat are you talking about?ā LOL so I try and just convince myself Iām going crazy.
