Add another to the list of people that did the Infinity Design intake and inlet tube. It’s absolutely gorgeous. Couple little Chasing J’s pieces inbound and I’ll then call the engine bay “good to go” lol
I have the Craftsman ratcheting wrenches and I’ve found them to be really good, decently fine teeth. I agree that the ratchets (at least the ones that I have) could be finer…at least the 3/8, my 1/4 ratchet seems to be ok for what I’ve used it for. Then again, I think my 3/8 ratchet might be one...
Almost all my automotive and motorcycle tools are craftsman (though my power tools are DeWalt). I’ve had nothing but great experiences with Craftsman tools for decades (and some are decades old).
best profile view I have of it. Yes, it’s the V1. I wanted an OEM+ look, and I knew if I went CF that it would have opened a very expensive pandora’s box of CF for my exterior. No shade to those that get the V2, but I’m not a fan of how aggressive it is.
Is there a reason you’re against the Artwork version? It’s one of the more expensive, but it checks all the boxes (fit and quality are great, and uses factory holes). I’d seen too many “other” manufacturers that have fitment or quality control issues and I didn’t feel like going back and forth...
I can just go off the anecdotal data I see in this forum and in the FB groups. Seems to be a weak point, with the same style of failure (seams leaking). If I’m honest with myself, I really just needed an excuse to start prettying up the engine bay. I think it’s a good excuse, though.
Another vote for Yeti. For my “morning coffee”, I use a 12oz Yeti with the “commuter” (formerly “hotshot”) lid. It’s perfectly sized for me. My wife’s larger 20oz travel mug annoys me when I shift.
Preemptively Installed the PRL coolant expansion tank. My stocker wasn’t leaking but I know my luck and it would have cracked in February and I’d be out in the driveway changing it when it’s 7 degrees.
While I was fiddling in the engine bay, I also threw in some MDR Industries billet aluminum...
I read a thread on FB recently that said the Infinity wasn’t very loud, but that person didn’t do the inlet tube at the same time…I don’t know why you would do one and not the other, but that might have been why. Others that have commented in the past have said the Infinity (the full system) is...
yep, it’s gloss black. I wanted OEM+…and I knew if I went carbon fiber it’d be an expensive rabbit hole.
Finish seems fine. I inspected it in my dining room right after removing it from the box and packaging. It fits nice and tight with no gaps, all holes lined up…I’d say Artwork knocked it...
Some of the most gnarly potholes I’ve seen have been in parking lots. Private owners aren’t exactly happy to pay for pavement work. Pay particular attention to any you cruise through with closed stores. I nearly fell into one that was in a closed Kohls lot while cutting through to an open Meijer lol
Installed the Artwork body shop V1 duckbill after work. Should have come from the factory like this, so much better than that “barely there” OEM lip.
Do you have anything else in your pocket with the fob? I’ve found these Acura fobs get “blocked” if you have a phone or a wallet (or other items) in there with them. I think it’s a known issue now that I’ve googled a bit.
If ya squint, it’s mint. I’m not a painter by any stretch, and I was doing this in my garage with touch up spray paint. Still, I think the PRP background with the gloss black a-mark looks WAY better than chrome on gloss black. Also finished my full Type-S debadge while I had the bumper down.
Got some Jogon Carbon bits for the interior. I hadn’t ever seen the red console, so I had to get it for a pop of color on the interior. Everything fit great, but I’m a little disappointed with the lower steering wheel trim piece, I wish it wrapped around more…you can still see a lot of the gray...
