Much thanks to your video I was able to do this very quickly:
Alcantara protected:
Biggest difficulty was the shift knob torque nut was tightened way too much by the dealer. I had to hold the wrench on the nut Then wrap the knob with rubber and apply channel locks to loosen it
gotta get high temperature ceramic coat on white wheels and rinse it off every week. I have it on the shark gray for about a month now. Brake dust washes right off without any heavy wiping. But yeah white wheels are difficult to maintain
reminds me of old school Integra days. Wheels look brighter than the car. I’d rock it, although the ITS has the black trim accent already and the shark gray/copper wheels complement it so well.
surprised they didn’t give us a championship white option
saw some other photos of this last week:
looks like it has the majority of options and possibly one of the demo white ITS, which runs $60k so probably $67k out the door with taxes fees and all that.
if you can get it for $55k that’s about $2k for all the accessories with the Copper rims being the big one. I’d consider it for sure. If...
okay first, what’s your auto lock setting? Is it like this?
Second, did you put the car in neutral with parking brake on? Then you have to press the unlock button on your door panel.
third, while the car is on, you cannot use the key fob buttons to lock/unlock anything. It will not work
what I meant was you have to press unlock on the door panel switch in order to open the hatch while car is running.
the hatch button on the key fob is meant for unlocking it from a distance for someone to open the hatch while the doors remain locked
agree with this. No full electric for the Integra. Just not viable long term with gigantic batteries that degrade and expensive to replace.
Internal combustion in combination with electric motor or similar to what Toyota has going on in their development is what I can see being feasible. Solid...
seems like you’ve never had an Acura; but you’ve made a great choice. Very easy and inexpensive to maintain.
It’s practical and looks great even Tom Brady would approve.
you should be able to get around in winters with FWD in New England, I’ve driven fwd in Colorado for a long time. Proper...
hmm when I drop off my sister in law at school every morning she’s able to open the hatch while the car is running. Maybe because I’m sitting inside with the key fab in my pocket. But when she gets out she has to unlock all doors before opening hatch
just do 6 month maintenance on your Alcantara, damp microfiber cloth with detergent or baby shampoo will do. Rub off all the accumulated dirt and oil, then grab a used toothbrush to do light scrubbing and brush up the micro fibers on the alcantara. Will be just like new and should remain that...
the only thing worth any weight is to get it in writing. Regardless of what we say in this forum or what anyone tells you, it’s your dealer that holds the warranty cards.
I certainly agree with you, the ITS isn’t best suited in a drag strip. People will still do it anyway because of culture or fast and furious quarter mile is everything. But hey if that’s what people enjoy then so be it.
4pistons claim is the TR2 cams will get you 20-40HP 40+ torque, TR3 cams...
Going by 4pistons TR2 cams and their tuning, you’d be getting +44.62 torque in the 3k-4k RPM range. Then you’re gaining an average of 30HP across the powerband.
In practice, you’ll be instantly gaining a more powerful response on the low-midrange. This is where the experience is enhanced for...
this is a good dyno chart. We see peak torque 2.5k-4K+ before tapering off while HP steady to 7k.
compare this to a stock civic type R FK6 and an rv660 turbo upgrade from @speedyserg :
In both cases stock torque comes on linearly with RPM.
The larger turbos spool slower than the stock MHI...
