Yeah it's a little bag and can be used to keep the sun off. Honestly, one of the best is if you can find one of the mini crown black bottles... The black velvet bag is perfect for keeping the sun off.
Thanks! I love mine, but I 99% got it for the size and shape so I'm very happy and that was easy. I went with the acuity collar because I wanted ti that matched my knob trim ring, but I hear the hybrid one fits a little more snugly. I'd just figure out the knob first and then match a collar in...
One post above... Lathewerks. Chris will countersink and make whatever you want. For the shortest knob, the sphere or the barrel would be it. You could also get the acuity collar which buys a tiny bit of space, or even ask Chris to make a flared bottom and you can skip the collar and pinch the...
Interesting tight gap tools. Makes sense they'd work. A typical bit is 1/4" 6 pt socket sizing. You can use a low profile or pass through ratchet for more clearance. Even a small vice grip holding the bit has worked for me in the past, but usually the ratchet trick does it.
I did the acuity shifter linkage bushings today and decided to wrap the cast aluminum charge pipe in gold because aluminum conducts heat well and this pipe is a few cm from the block. Linkage bushing made a marginal difference. Getting into R and 1st there's a bit less resistance, but so far I...
The ps4s tire comes in a lot of different flavors for different makes. Star spec is the bmw one that comes on the m cars typically. N spec (with now many N variations) is Porsche. Dt1 is Honda. The tire was specifically designed for this car with a stiffer carcass and a different rubber...
The dt1 specific ps4s was designed for the type S so if they were to update it would be a whole new car specific tire. More than likely they'll just run it for a few more years then update the car or kill it off.
Opening up the door seals and throwing some of the butyl mat on the outside door shell also helps a ton with resonance in the doors. I still need to do my rear doors, but after doing the trunk and fronts it was a pretty good difference, especially since I added butyl and foam to the nooks and...
The base has two holes for a lateral change in mounting location. The collars won't fit it I'd suspect. You'd still want the front linkage bushings.
This looks like a really nice piece of kit. The only thing I'd love to see differently is ability to change knob height without having to pull up...
Yes. There are specific paints for engine bay plastics, and you have to know what you're painting to ensure they're compatible.
I've painted plastic valve covers before when doing rebuilds to good success. They've last 3+ years under intense heat.
I'm still working my way into the break in, so I think comfort is closer to where sport was before, but I do think it will warm up a bit and soften as it gets miles and probably move more towards comfort.
I actually like comfort a lot now! For zipping through busy traffic it's the perfect...
Well, it's installed. I'm a borla believer now. The pitch is slightly higher with the helmholtz, and in comfort it's louder but a bit more pitchy (good thing). Not so much louder that it's obnoxious but loud enough to hear it cruising along now. Sport and sport + it's a lot louder. The bangs are...
Borla was willing to send me a new muffler section but they were a couple weeks backed up. They were able to tell me what the inside of the muffler and helmholtz looked like, so that helped me visualize where the metal was.
After a lot more vigorous shaking the metal chunks fell out and now...
Ahh, I gotcha.
Yes they're correct. Once they create the model, each stamp out from the factory after is going to be + or - some range within a spec. For example, my exhaust tips are slightly closer on the left two than the right two. By about 2mm, which almost no one would notice.
I was able...
Well, Borla exhaust arrived today... The curse of the Integra continues...
I knew I was getting into a slip fit exhaust so I wasn't expecting quality there, but I was disappointed to find the tubing has seams everywhere, globs of rough welding, mountains of shavings inside the piping, and the...
Got it! Now that makes sense in my head, lol.
Yeah that diono looks nice. I had planned to just go backless when my kid outgrew the adjustment, but I think different Graco seats have different shoulder points. Our slimfit one in the audi is way larger and wouldn't fit in the Integra. The...
Our stupid headrests are also too soft, so you really have to crush them to make the seat safe... That's a good call if that 2 latch design works up to standard!
