I thought I saw video of someone opening that plate on the inlet pipe to reveal it's strictly a Helmholtz resonator. It is unfortunate that it's so damn close to the heat shield, and I think you're right on that an aftermarket pipe will open up a much needed thermal break.

Are you cloning or just jail breaking the original? Any concern with state inspections?

Did my first oil change as well. Took 5.5qts to show full on the dipstick, with the engine warmed up. I installed a Fumoto F106SX valve - there was tons of room to position it how I liked.

It is possible to turn off the audible alert, at least. This is under vehicle settings -> driver assistance settings.

What’s this about the insulation tube? Also how is the metal tag held on? Wouldn’t be too hard to make some custom plates with DE5 and some other marking.
