  1. Any ISSUES with lowering springs on track??

The rear sag is a thing with the spoons; supposedly this was corrected in a later version but this is just forum hearsay (the info I got on the subject came from this site's sister forum, civicxi.com). If you care to search for the thread, some guy in Australia (username Tezzasaurus if I'm...
  2. Back on Track

I haven't driven an RS3, but you'll most likely be disappointed with an RS5. I can not think of a better daily driver, but the completely numb steering does nothing to inspire confidence for any sort of driving beyond getting from point a to point b. That and the weight and I wouldn't consider...
  3. PSA: Apex Wheels Black Friday 40% off VS-5RS

This is true; I fell for the "up to" component without doing the math. Still, this is as cheap as they get. I got a similar deal for Memorial Day. As @StingertimeNC said, this is what they typically go for on the used market... but no, it isn't 40% off for any size wheel I could see someone...
  4. PSA: Apex Wheels Black Friday 40% off VS-5RS

https://apexwheels.com/blackfriday @Integra23 I am not affiliated with Apex in any way, other than the fact I love my Satin Bronze VS-5RS. If you’re thinking about it, now is the time. They don’t get cheaper than this, and they’re brand new (might take a few months to get them but it’s ok...
  5. What did you do to your Integra Type S today? 🙋🏻‍♂️

My OEM titanium knob does not have this glossy of a finish, nor the red shift pattern. Do you have a part number for this? edit- I actually had to literally walk out to my car in my garage, because nearly every image returned by a Google search had the red shift pattern and I thought I was...
  6. Infinity Design Intake installed

This is definitely part of it, but if I'm being 100% honest it also just comes down to laziness. I don't want to overhaul the entire exhaust if an aftermarket cat-back can accomplish roughly the same auditory goal.
  7. ITS DE5 Warped Rear Brakes 10K Miles

It really does. Extenuating circumstances identifie The tail is what, 11 miles of some of the best twisties in the land? Doing that at a decent pace- probably not breaking any laws, substantially- every other week and yeah it all makes sense. And honestly, probably far worse than 1-2 track...
  8. ITS DE5 Warped Rear Brakes 10K Miles

What are you doing differently? I'm not a tire expert, but this to me looks like normal wear, but WAY more than I'd expect at 12k miles. This is worse than my 911 was at that time. This car doesn't have an engineering excuse like a 911 does, it shares its underpinnings with a Honda Civic. So a...
  9. Infinity Design Intake installed

You may be on to something. If I end up disappointed in the noise, I'll take a long look at the Armaspeed. So far, that's the only intake I can notice a clear increase in induction noise even through video. I was actually strongly considering going that direction but figured I'd just spend the...
  10. ITS DE5 Warped Rear Brakes 10K Miles

Yeah, I don't know what world you're living in, but brakes and tires for a car with ~12k miles is insane. FWIW, I am extremely hard on my tires with about a dozen autocross events and most of a full track day on them, and they're fine from a treadwear perspective at almost 9k miles. I can...
  11. Infinity Design Intake installed

I'm glad folks are enjoying their tunes, but I'm currently firmly in the trench of "if it ain't broke, don't try to fix it". Except the sound. The car definitely needs as much sound as it can get. It's not bad from an OEM perspective but there is absolutely room for improvement. I have high...
  12. ITS DE5 Warped Rear Brakes 10K Miles

I'm not aware of any type of "spirited driving" that should wear the rear brakes/rotors at an accelerated rate, pedal dance or not... at least not within 10k miles. There is a HUGE difference between any type of street driving, and track driving. Unless they're Fujiwara Takumi delivering tofu...
  13. What did you do to your Integra Type S today? 🙋🏻‍♂️

I just had my car in two weeks ago and they didn't have parts in for the recall, nor know when they would. Guess we can start scheduling recall appointments?
  14. Infinity Design Intake installed

I still maintain this car doesn't need anymore power anyway. The torque steer at factory power levels is already getting on my nerves. Literally noise and aesthetics are the only attributes I'm looking for in an intake for this car. And by no means would I argue this as a wise purchase.
  15. ITS DE5 Warped Rear Brakes 10K Miles

Rear brakes should wear LONG after the fronts, and shouldn't be an issue until at least 50k miles. Typically. The exception to this would be hard track driving without disabling the rear torque vectoring. That will kill your rear brakes very quickly.
  16. Infinity Design Intake installed

Are you hour-long YouTube video interested? This link should take you directly to the point where they talked about the challenges with the first pre-production unit infinity design sent them, and the comparison with the other top performing intake in their test (GruppeM). It's not exact...
  17. Honda Launches Performance Parts Division For Honda and Acura Products for 2025

Interesting. I like Raiti but... I think I'll wait for a press release before getting too excited. As for "I thought I could take it straight to the track", assuming you mean the standard ITS as it comes from the factory, you absolutely can. And for a novice, arguably you can just stop right...
  18. Honda Launches Performance Parts Division For Honda and Acura Products for 2025

I see no fault in your logic. There's already plenty of evidence that the R&T would be pretty much perfect for my use case. I just wanted the details before I made a purchase, just in case there was a significant advantage like they maintained the adaptive system somehow or something like that...
  19. Honda Launches Performance Parts Division For Honda and Acura Products for 2025

A year is too damn long. Now I get to see if I can hold out until at least more details emerge for these HRC coilovers, or if I just cave and get Ohlins. They've got about 6 months.
  20. Back on Track

If I'm the only sample reporting these issues with the springs then I think that qualifies as an anomaly. I don't actually regret the springs! The car makes me happy every time I look at it, and it has gotten significantly more attention. They make a substantial aesthetic impact. I just can't...
