I have all of that stuff. I haven't found an adapter, for the impact driver, that handles more then 80 lbs of torque though. I've snapped a few trying to get lug nuts off. I really want a 1/2 inch impact driver.
I do like all the craftsman stuff though. Use it for all sorts of stuff. Got...
My experience exactly. The little piece to the left of the steering column just comes in contact with the steering column. Not really noticeable but I found it odd. Just be careful to get it fully seated in place before you fully peel off the plastic part of the double sided tape. I started...
That is my setup, but I'm running 275/30 conti's.
There are examples of folks running those specs with H&R springs and I think even Eibach. I've asked at least a few people on this forum. I was tempted to do it, but after bending one of the apex rims, I've decided to keep them as my daily...
That's why I grabbed a spare OEM replacement. It was cheaper than aftermarket. If it happens at the track, I have the tools, coolant, and the spare tank ready to roll.
It's totally hit or miss. I know guys tracking their cars hard, me somewhat included and knock wood, no issues. I think it was a bad run of tanks, early on in the '23/'24 build cycle, so you just don't see it a ton.
Interesting on the slight rub. What wheels and tires. 275/35 or 275/30?
I'm running same setup with 275/30, dropped on Eibach pro kit, no camber adjustments, and have no issues at all. Continental ECS 02 tires.
yes, definitely Hans, I actually own one already. I know what you mean on the slippery slope. I'm just not sure if the ITS is a long term car. I know myself and I get bored after a while. On the other hand, this is a great car and it's really just a good seat/harness setup away from being a...
Trackdaze doesn’t care too much about how you have your car set up. Heck you can wear shorts and short sleeve shirts when you’re running with them at VIR.
Tidewater sports car club is more strict. If you have harnesses, you need the shoulder straps at less than a 20° angle.
They’re OK with...
Welcome. Nice to have a woman lurking around in here. LOL.
You guys definitely need to go to the track. You'll have so much fun!!
Definitely some knowledgeable folks in here.
For all those "Flight of the Conchords" fans in here, there are "too many dicks on the dance floor." LOL.
For...
OH, I want to put in a harness bar and use the buckets I have. One problem is I need a little bit more seat rake and the what the front mounting bolts ar facing the front of the car make it impossible to just raise the whole mounting plate with spacers. Need to custom fab something.
Does...
Oh, and we have a great platform for the track, although I'm no expert. I love leaving every corner sooner than the RWD guys. With a downpipe and tune this car hangs with some fast stuff. Of course I still love to see/hear the GT3's and Z06's ripping past me when I'm out there. Those things...
I'm going to be going with the Kuhmo V730's next. @Zygrene runs them, and @pointbypatrol, and both seem to like them. @pointbypatrol has runs 2:09-2:10 at VIR (full course) and no problem for 25-30 minute sessions. Good life too. VIR is pretty decent on tires though, some nice, long low G...
I would do a good bedding process first. If you're not tracking the car your rotors should last for years.
You can get replacement rings from paragon, that fit the OEM hats, or even just get a set of Paragon two piece rotors for less. In the states it's $800 for both fronts I believe. I also...
