In my experience as an owner a 2019 Giulia QV, they are pretty solid if you buy a 2018+ car. i've been very involved in the owners group and rarely do folks have issues. The one big issue with the car is vampire drain on the battery. Early cars were notorious for this. If you drive the car often...
I actually replaced my FL5 with my Giulia QV. It is by far one of the best cars i've ever owned and would probably still have it if the dealer network near me didn't close down. It is a car i'll own again - '2024 in Verde Montreal would be my wish list.
I don't really like to stand out, but I do love my cars. I had a white R35 GTR which attracted the most attention -- mainly teenage boys and girls lol. Kids these days will start filming and talking to you immediately without asking first.
I also have a set of the fx3d guards coming, so I may swap. I had those on my FL5 and I loved them.
My wheel shop had an opening today so they threw on the OEM copper wheels. I also removed the 15mm spacers (just wasnt my thing) I take my time putting on the wheel caps as to align to the valve...
I did not install those clips! The rear flaps seem very secure already without them. I skipped similar clips on my Honda Pilot when I installed the rear OEM flaps, and 2 years later - no issues!
If you don't have a stubby screwdriver, get one, so you don't need to jack up the car. I used this :
Installed the OEM mud flaps today due to the spacers on the wheels. I put a little PPF on where the mud flaps touch the paint as i've seen in past cars mud flaps that will dig into the paint.
also my copper wheels came!
Since I am a hoarder of s2k parts. I amassed a bunch of shift knobs. Funny that the optional Ti knob for the DE5 is just the s2k Ti knob. I was going to throw that on, but remembered I also have a Ti s660 mini teardrop knob I can try on the DE5.
bonus pic of my s2k!
I had no idea that was a real dealer name! My wife's name is Lindsay and she got a kick out of it. I'll see if I can track down a license plate frame! (I actually collect license plate frames!)
Back on topic - if anyone is in the SF Bay Area - Acura of SF will do $2500 off MSRP with no add-ons...
Met up with one of my car buddies yesterday with his FL5. Yesterday was the first time I had a chance to drive the DE5 in the twisties and it did not disappoint. Very similar to my old FL5, but just a tad softer, which is fine and expected.
No, thats not possible. FitcamX taps into switched power from the rearview mirror. You'll notice you have a little light/toggle on your rearview mirror for the auto dimming function. Once you turn off the car, that light turns off=no power to the mirror.
