I prefer touch up paint in a small container with a brush than in a pen. I buy it locally where they can color match anything. They can also "blend" layered paint in the same container, so you only have to do one coat.
To apply:
- Be sure to remove all rust. Don't worry about getting to bare...
No tire fit flush in the back, except the BMW one that you have to modify to fit the ITS.
And probably, the modern spare is the one taking the more space in the hatch...
I would not trust tape!
Might OK to hold there in normal driving, but if you get in an accident, the tire could kill you or any other occupant of the car.
I had that door paint problem on my ITS. Dealer paid to have the fender moved a bit forward so it doesn't make contact with the door when you open it...
Look at the other spare tire thread what I did in mine... Used structural glue to glue a spare tire holder in my trunk. Hasn't bulge since almost 3 years!
I was thinking this morning that all nails I picked up in my tires are always in my summer tires. I was starting to think it was maybe the sticky tires.

In my life, I've only had a couple of nails/screws in my tires (maybe 3-4).
Since I bought an ITS and a TLX-S (since 2024 for the ITS and 2025 for the TLX), I've had 4!
I don't think it is the tires though.
