Nailed it!
Totally agree.
The car is so good, however, I was willing to accept the horrible dealership support and owner experience. But, considering they canāt guarantee an allocation, I canāt place an order. Ironically, they offered me the CT4-V Blackwing on their showroom floor for $2K off...
The Camaro SS 1LE is a good value for the money. Iām not a huge fan of the exterior appearance and rear visibility in that particular model/generation. Iād much rather have a CTS-V by comparison. But, thatās just me.
Mike
Iāve owned 2 NBās (both supercharged) and an ND. Theyāre some of the most entertaining, fun and enjoyable cars to drive. And yes, you feel like youāre flying just driving the speed limit, lol. Theyāre really fun when theyāre actually fastā¦one of my NBās was making 250whp while weighing...
Agreed.
Are you opposed to the CT4-V Blackwing or CT5-V Blackwing? Just curious.
Although, I did call my Cadillac dealer today and they said due to constraints, they're not even sure I'd be able to get a 'manual' for the 2024 MY and...there's no guarantee they'll be making those models in...
You guys do stick together, lol
Here and on Rennlist
I havenāt owned any of the 718 variants but, Iāve driven most. They are impressive and extremely fun to drive.
Back to the ITSā¦.
Mike
Sorry. I had to. I was well aware of the forthcoming response. ;)
Iāll save my next 718 outburst for Rennlist.
And, yes, I fit the target demographic. However, if that demographic excludes me from cross shopping alternative brands looking for the best value, then no, Iām not the target...
Think of that....
Purchasing the Type-S at MSRP (no accessories or add-ons) with $0 down payment, you're looking at just under $1,000 per month payment at 72 months with perfect credit. 8% puts the payment over $1K.
Mike
Interesting response....
No. I'm not suggesting anyone run to a German brand. I wouldn't.
I'm not the target demographic? Are you sure?
Please educate me on the target demographic.
I agree that Acura will sell every Type-S they build. I do believe this vehicle 'should' have come with an...
$52K definitely opens the door for additional options. I'm probably still going to move forward as $52K was my 'high' estimate on MSRP ($48K makes way way more sense). Assuming I move forward, I'm only taking my preferred color combination. But, I have to admit, at this price, it once again...
At $52K, I'm probably still going to move forward as this was my 'high' estimate on MSRP ($48K makes way way more sense)...however, I'm only taking my preferred color combination. Plus, at this price, it once again opens the possibility I'll take my GR Corolla 'Circuit Edition' reservation (if...
You're all over the place. Acura is the Luxury branded Honda, period. The Type-S is the performance/hot version, however, it is not a 'track oriented' Type-R. As you say, the Type-S is the performance street version. Not to be compared to 'R' = Race.
We're simply not going to agree.
Mike
No. A Type Sā¦is not a Type R.
Iāve spent plenty of time behind the wheel of a 1998 Integra Type R. My good friend and neighbor bought one new. I was there when he reserved it and took delivery. That was a wonderful and āfocusedā car. Extremely fun on the street and a blast on the track! If...
Okay. But, we're talking about a ITS.....not an ITR. If the Integra was a Type-R, I'd agree with you.
IMHO, the Type S should have all the same luxury features the A-Spec Tech 6MT has, plus the performance benefits Acura is showcasing. That's where the value is.
Mike
^^^^
The Super Duty diesel was overkill for me. Realistically, I just need a truck with an honest 10K towing capacity for my tractor. Plus, I only drive my truck 2-3 days a week. The SD was a $90K yard trophy, lol.
I'll be much happier driving the Integra and keeping the Tundra for the...

I too have an issue with the $10K+ premium over the A-Spec Tech 6MT. Appearance aside, with the ITS, you're getting less features and a better, more powerful engine. Is that worth the asking price? Hard to say. I know for sure....it ain't worth any ADM!!!!
Mike
^^^^
I'd have kept my Super Duty, but, my better half said I couldn't have a $90K truck and a new integra. I sold the SD, bought a pre-owned Tundra and now I have permission to purchase the ITS, lol
