Looks great - how much did it cost to replace the clutch?

thanks! I actually dont have the clutch in, yet. anything marked with a green checkmark is what i have on so far - anything that doesn't have a checkmark has not been added, yet. however, i live in California, clutch labor can range from 1k - 2k.

PRL RMM is in!
heres my impressions thus far:

first thing I noticed, drive train slop is completely eliminated, shifts (especially from 1st -> 2nd, 2nd -> 3rd) are so much more precise. I feel like you can really drive more "spiritedly" now that the throttle is more accurate - gives a lot more confidence and rhythm in shifts.

second thing I noticed, car feels more planted and moves as one. less fighting from the drive train and the chassis. feels like a proper sports compact. inputs are more precise (like steering), and theres less of a delay from your inputs towards the car. feels like whatever you do from shifting, to throttle, to cornering, the car is responding EXACTLY to it, rather than having delays due to the previously mentioned drive train slop.

third thing I noticed, NVH is not as bad as some people make it out to be. at idle, there's BARELY any significant nvh. where you start to feel it is from a stop - where you're slipping the clutch, cold starts, or when the ac is on. as the car warms up, NVH is practically gone during idle. I'll keep an eye on this as the bushings starts breaking in. not bad at all, in fact I like it a lot, and am kinda sad that it'll decrease as it breaks in.

haven't taken it to the canyons yet, but im really looking forward to it.

also, installation was a PIA. AWE Touring front pipe sits a bit lower than the OEM front pipe, making it difficult to pull the front bolt out. had to remove the lower bolt that connects the bracket to the engine, and move the rear motor mount to the side, away from the front pipe so i could get my socket onto the bolt. either way, I managed to get it installed, and it makes the car feel sporty rather than entry-luxury. worth the trouble and price lol

Great build so far! You are inspiring me to document. I actually tried to do the RMM in my front yard but it was sketch without a proper jack. Im headed to my cousin's shop to put it on the lift. I will document as well start my own page!

Nice man. Any noticeable increase in rattles with the PRL RMM? I know they state their design should not increase such things but you always wonder.

yes, there is definite increase in both vibration and noise. vibrations can be felt on cold starts, or just starts in general, or when moving from a stop (while slipping the clutch). during idle, it can be felt very slightly, nothing insane, but once you turn on the a/c, vibrations get a little more intense.

this decreases as the bushings settle in ~500 miles.

exhaust sounds a bit louder in the cabin when starting from a stop. paired with the AWE exhaust, it sounds very "growly" and aggressive.

I noticed there is more feedback from the steering wheel, which, in my opinion, is a VERY good thing. the steering is good in these cars, but its filtered too much, which makes sense. its an entry-luxury car. but coming from an RSX Type S, feedback from the ground/engine to your hands is always a good thing. gives the car more character, more rawness. I like it a lot. im also pretty sad it'll die down overtime lol

Which AWE exhaust do you have? The touring or track edition? I was looking at that one too.

I love the vibration of the RMM. The car turns on like a race car and you feel it.

thats what im saying! raw feedback from the engine is always a joy, and the rear motor mount provides exactly that. im really loving it so far. would recommend anyone who's on the edge of getting a stiffer rmm

Following! I’ve been scoping out what modifications I want for my
OEM+ build and your list is, no joke, identical to what I had looking in my own.

would love to get your take on the overall feel after the PRL HVI and exhaust (was specifically looking at the touring trim too, in black.

haha thats awesome, looking forward to seeing your build twin 🤝

PRL HVI and exhaust changes the character of the car drastically. I like to think the car is initially very shy and timid at first, but after the intake and catback, it shows its true character for sure.

in terms of driver feel, its more exhilarating, but in terms of power, no real difference, although you can definitely tell it breathes a lot better, if that makes sense. pulls a little harder than stock.

the rear motor mount made the most difference in driver's feel more than the exhaust and intake did, imo. but with the combination of all three, I honestly cant say it enough - it feels like a proper sport compact vehicle lol

Looking fantastic - one addition/suggestion, if you haven't already, is change out the shift knob. I just changed mine out to a Titanium (spherical but they come in different shapes) with some custom engraving. I bought mine through Billetworkz.com - unbelievable customer service (were even able to change out my original order (was brushed stainless steel) when Titanium came in 2 days after I ordered. Highly recommend, they have numerous models/types of shift knobs.
