So I wanted to get input from the forums and figure out which perfomance metrics would you want to see in terms speed. I know 0-60 and 1/4 mile is always tradition but what about real world performance like 30-50, 50-70, 30-70. Trying to get useful data and do some comparisons. I was thinking car and driver uses 30-50 and 50-70 in top gear but if they are using an automatic it just drops into an appropriate gear and maybe a 3rd gear pull would give a good comparison but give me your input.

If you just want to get a sense of what the power is, 40-75mph with a running start is a good standard. That eliminates drive-dependent variables like the launch (since you get a running start), eliminates the effect of turbo lag (since you get a running start), and there's only 1 shift in there (2nd to 3rd at around 52mph), all while still keeping the car at legalish highway speeds.

Thanks for the input. I currently have 30-50 runs in 3rd gear no running start. 30-70 runs in 3rd gear no running start. 60-80 runs in 4th. I'm trying to get real world numbers from factory tune and then I'll grab tuned runs.

do you guys feel this thread is reliable enough to compare data? And the OPs method of calculation legit. If so new Integra might surprise alot of people

By the way I did two runs so far.rolls from about 25mph 30-70 in 5.9 to 6.1 secs.
40-80 in 5.8 -6.0 secs.

Are you using any sort of GPS box to get your numbers, or are you hand timing it using a datalogger or the speedo? If it’s the latter I would highly recommend in getting a Dragy or RaceBox because those are much much more accurate and reliable. They also evaluate slope and track temperature, humidity, and what not so you know if your runs are fair and true.

Using a GPS app called GPS race timer. Works very well actually and comparing to the video time frames it's damn near exact.

I am aiming for accurate results but the point of thr video I'm creating is that people need to stray away from 0-60 and 1/4 miles because nobody is driving a car 0-60 every day. People should look at real world performance.

Data from the app seems pretty consistent. I've done plenty of runs

What kind of phone do you have? When I played around with it in an iPhone X the times were off by about half a second in the quarter mile (tested against the time slips at Sonoma Raceway). My Dragy on the other hand was within 0.1s on every run and 1mph in the trap, and half the time they were spot on. The Dragy is a 10hz box while I understand the iPhone is 1hz, which appears to be too low.

Samsung galaxy s22 and a one plus. Both give the same numbers.

To be fair 1/4miles times on apps are usually off due to the way they determine distance but gps speeds are usually on point. Here is a run where I hit 30-70 in 5.9
