This is a new platform for me but I'm no stranger to Honda/Acura cars & suvs. I'm jumping the gun a little bit but I'm curious to know what new owner's plans are with their new Type S?

Are you taking it straight to the detailers for tint and wrap? Wheels? Planning some sort of tune after break-in? Track build? Custom wide-body (lol)? Stock for life? Let's hear (and see) some ideas!

Me, personally, probably aesthetics since the car will be handling daily duty. Performance is sounding like it's more than adequate for my use. Mirror caps, spoiler, front lip, side skirts, diffuser etc. Though I'll probably stick with the gloss black and body colored paint theme (still on the fence with paint colors). I'm done with the carbon fiber goodies (and cost!), I'll leave CF for the other car.

For me, it will be a tint for sureā€¦ and I may go for a gloss black powdercoat of the wheelsā€¦ no a fan of the shark grayā€¦ especially on white or black car.

also, iā€™ll probably get the oem plastic tray and carpet, because kids :)

thats about it !

Type S in the house!
Tint, downpipe, strut bar, spoon springs, maybe FL5 ADS swap(I like it stiff), Hondata(Hopefully they will have a Jailbreak that won't require mailing in the ECU), and winter wheels..

Ceramic tint all the way around including windshield. Ceramic coating exterior & undercarriage. Window visors if available. Copper wheels & carbon fiber options. Find some winter tires. Tuxmats & things like that. These things immediately & I will have some stock fun before looking at PRL, Spoon, 27won, etc products. Reinforce chassis & suspension first with strut bars, etc. Really just want bolt onā€™s & tune for a while to see how it goes before going further I think.

Tint, and full hood/fenders/bumper PPF wrap, then a paint correction and ceramic coating (Iā€™ll do these myself).

Have you done PPF before? What would the cost be?

I want a moon roof if it isnā€™t going to be an option. First and foremost that. Then tinting. I just tinted my aspec a month ago šŸ˜©

I'll be doing ceramic tint again, and will likely splurge and have the windshield done this time. I'll get the Type-S all-season mats + trunk tray, the titanium shift knob, lighted door sills, and possibly the door projectors (still on the fence with this one). I'll probably get Husky Mats for the winter--not crazy about the OEM mats leaving the "hump" bare in the back.

Depending on the color I end up with, I may get the roof wrapped in gloss black again--it looks great on my PWP Integra now, and would look good on Performance Red and Tiger Eye as well. If I got a color other than white, I really like the white Volk TE37 wheels with spacers if necessary, but they are obviously NOT CHEAP. That'd be more of a long-term upgrade.

Iā€™ve had PPF applied to every car Iā€™ve purchased. My wife and Si both do a fair amount of highway miles (either commuting to work, or vacationing), so to me itā€™s worth the cost of not having the front end get blasted by rocks over the years.

The place I go uses XPEL Ultimate film. On my TLX it was $1,400 for a full bumper, headlights, mirror caps, partial hood, and partial fender. To make it the full hood and fender it wouldā€™ve been an additional $900, which I would spend on the Integra.

XPEL Prime ceramic tint was $445 for all the windows and a tint band on the windshield.

For anyone tinting the windshield - any experiences you know about that you can share?

My Ram truck has a bunch of sensors around the trim rings of the windshield & many shops short circuit these trucks & itā€™s an expensive fix. So Iā€™ve been using a top tier local tint company thatā€™s fully aware & uses soak ropes & other products to avoid this & theyā€™ve done 3 of mine flawlessly.

Any crucial sensors on the Teggy anyone has heard about near here? Iā€™m in good hands, but DEFINITELY something everyone should be aware of & grill their installers on before hand.

I almost had my A-Spec + Tech windshield tinted, but the installer just seemed waaaaaaay too confident that he wouldn't ruin any of the electronics during install--I'd hunt for someone else to do it, this guy 100% would've screwed something up. šŸ˜‚
