Integra Type S DE5 Beats Previous FWD Record at Pikes Peak International Hill Climb

• Integra Type S DE5 race car driven by Dai Yoshihara reached the summit nearly 15 seconds quicker than the previous front-wheel-drive course record
• Two-time U.S. Olympian and Team USA Bobsled pilot Kaysha Love piloted the official pace vehicle, an Acura MDX Type S
• This is the 16th consecutive year Acura has competed at Pikes Peak

The Acura Integra Type S DE5 race car reached the 14,115-foot summit in the 104th Running of The Broadmoor Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, presented by Gran Turismo, nearly 15 seconds quicker than the previous front-wheel drive record, in a showcase of Honda Racing Corporation USA (HRC US) and Acura performance credentials in pinnacle motorsports competition.

Dai Yoshihara—a two-time Formula Drift champion and HRC US driver—finished the 12.42-mile course in 10:33.174, placing sixth in the Time Attack 1 division.
The previous front-wheel-drive record of 10:48.094 was set in 2018 by Honda R&D engineer and Pikes Peak veteran Nick Robinson in an Acura TLX A-Spec.

Two-time U.S. Olympian and Team USA Bobsled pilot Kaysha Love drove the Acura MDX Type S as the official pace car, joined right-seat by Hunter Powell, a fellow Team USA bobsledder who competed at the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026 and Love’s fiancé. The MDX featured a livery inspired by the red, white and blue of Love’s Team USA Bobsled.

Motorsports is a critical proof point of Acura Precision Crafted Performance, including the premium performance brand's Pikes Peak efforts. This is the 16th consecutive year Acura has competed at Pikes Peak, with the Acura team amassing an impressive 12 first place in-division finishes, over 30 podiums and multiple course records.
