Insurance approved an oem replacement and just got it installed today. They had to order the glass so it took a little bit for it to come in but everything seems to be back to normal.Call that shop back and tell them. Hopefully they do the same for you and replace it with OEM glass.
Today the glass is holding strong and I have no issues.
I had tried moving my head around and moving the display up and down and it never seemed right with the old glass. It's possible since I complained specifically about the hud they took more time getting it lined up but it seems fine now.Had my windshield replaced by same glass as OEM, but not bought from the dealer. And I was the same HUD distortion (looks blurry as if I needed glasses). But as soon as I move my head just a little bit down, it seems OK. Seems to me that the glass placement i very, very important on the ITS and as soon as it is not completely at the right place, you'll have the blurry HUD problem.
Ended up turning the HUD off because it was bothering me too much to see it that way.
