Back in the day Saab used to preprogram the check engine light to come on every 10k miles so you would have to go in and spend $150 on "Diagnostic fees" to get it turned off.
Everyone is different and I wouldn't be caught dead changing my own oil. Yet, and this makes no sense at all, I will gladly jack up my car myself to change out my summers for winters. I am more than happy to let the dealership change my oil. I have more important things to do like watch TV and play video games! Lol.
