Out of the blue my 25 Type S started to squeal really loud when in motion. I isolated the noise was from the front passenger side wheel. At first I thought I had something stuck in the rotor. Took the wheel off all was cleared. I could re-create the squealing noise just by turning the wheel hub. As it turned out I moved the brake rotor shield a bit and the noise went away. My question is why? I could not think of any cause of the rotor shield to be misaligned. Any thoughts?

rock stuck in between brake shield and rotor causing it scrap and squeal loud. More than likely when you pushed the brake shield, the rock dislodge. Happens to everyone and if it doesn't happen to you yet, you're not driving enough lol.

Yup. I used to get this like once a week or two. I didn't get it for nearly a year now after I switched to all season tires. Sticky tires > pick small rocks > throw them into the brake shield.
