I understand you when you say i always mod my vehicles as i am the same. However, there are a lot of mods that you listed there that comes to me as "i'm just doing it cause i can"

I have the 1.5t but my opinion on them still stands that these 1.5t are just not worth dumping a lot of money into. Do some suspension, wheels, and the shifter if you want and make it fun to drive but anything more idk.

I would just save a bit more and get a type s if you want to do a lot of mods to it. I have owned and modded the fk8 (suspension/powertrain is basically the same as the newer ones) and its just a much better platform to begin with and mod.

You'll end up paying more for the ASpec, with all the mods you want to do, and it'll still be a "lesser" car than the Type S. And you'll loose the warranty...

I would truly consider the Type S at that point. Pay it, and than, slowly mod the Type S, while maintaining the warranty while paying it.

I consider this being a much smarter plan.

On an absolute side note, playing with an A spec today for a bit as my sisters RDX is getting some maintenance done
