And not in that good “off the chain….danglin’ “ sort of way.

I’m getting an appointment scheduled; this is very frustrating. It has taken no hits. I’m curious if the dealer will try to make me pay but I feel very strongly this should be warrantied. It looks like the white clip is broken. Not sure if it’s the chicken or the egg…

I think you can twist the clip out of the body, slide it in the side skirt and pop it back in.

Yeah I can do that with the white clip but it has a corner cracked off so it’s retention will be a bit diminished. Also a clip that’s a molded piece of the side skirt itself is cracked. You can see it in pic 2 (the piece not the crack, it’s a blue hook). I wonder if the white clip was busted from factory and the wind finished it off and the molded piece got cracked then?

It never looked great (alignment) and my original plan of having it looked at during first service has backfired. If they try to charge me I’ll walk and just buy a new white clip from them. I could remove the whole side skirt and plastic epoxy it’s damaged molded clip.

I did pop it back on the white clip. I spun the clip 180 degrees so the cracked off corner wasn’t on the side doing the bulk of the work. I’ll try to get them to replace that clip and address the damaged part of the shirt itself. I’ve got other gap/alignment issues I’ll ask them about too.

That’s fair for you to assume and I’m certain the dealer will suggest that. The car has had 2 passengers in it in 2 months, my very careful wife each time. It’s not daily driven. It was pretty misaligned from day 1 and I should’ve taken it back to them earlier. If they won’t help me I’ll buy some of the clips to have on the shelf.
