I posted this somewhere else but looks this post is related and I’d like additional opinions.

I’d like to tune the engine to get some more HP without using a Phearable/Ktuner but I don’t know much about engines but I’m game to learn. I’m considering getting a 1.5 Stage 1 intake system, 1.5T HVI system and a cold air intake duct from PRL.

I know changing the exhaust is an option but I want to do that bc I like the look and sound of it already. Is there any overlap with these parts and can anyone give me their opinion on making those changes?

Thank you

First suggestion- head over to the A spec forum. The engines and approaches to making power are significantly different, so go talk to the folks that lurk in those sub-forums to get more relevant responses.

That being said, you sure can add an exhaust and intake, but I wouldn't get my hopes up too high. Significant power gains- especially with the 1.5- aren't going to be had until you add more boost, and the safest way to do that is via a tune.
