I recently received payout for the Integra from my insurance company. Medical, etc still pending. They will then attempt recovery from the driver at fault and his insurance.
One lesson learned is keep good records on the condition and maintenance of your vehicle, especially if in exceptional condition. The salvage auction house where the car ended up did a valuation assessment without really looking at the condition of my car, which was in excellent condition with only 15k miles. It seemed they made assumptions based on it being a 3 year old car. Evidence of condition from maintenance records and dealer inspection helped establish a case for a higher value. My insurance company, State Farm, was easy to work with.
