Manual Shift Knob Removal and Install

I wasn't able to find a real good video on how to remove and install an acura/honda shift knob. Hope this one helps a few of you out.

Yeah they can be tough, mine was impossible until I got that tiny screwdriver in there and loosened the clip.

Wish I could offer up some tips, I tried everything even pulling the trim up and clipping the zip tie! I still ended up breaking the collar. On the bright side the new hybrid racing collar looks beautiful.

I usually hate YouTube video anything because it's 95% wasted time and typically they skip over the actual tricky parts. This was the opposite. Nice and clear, and it wasn't 20 minutes of influencer wannabe plugs. Great work!

Mine was a lot tighter than yours. No form of small screw driver or even my mini-picks would properly pull it down. I finally was able to pull it off by using two butter knives between the collar and knob to press down very evenly. It still bent the plastic slightly, but at least it came off. I replaced it with the acuity Ti one and it's pretty nice. Doesn't rattle at high rpm like the stock one either.
