Loss of Power?

Not sure if it’s just my imagination but my car doesn’t pull like it used to. In fact it doesn’t feel the same since getting the Emission Systems issue fix. I used to drive it in Normal but now I need to keep in Sport just so it’s driveable. It’s most noticeable when I have the revs hanging around 3-4K and punch it. The revs slowly climb and it doesn’t really go anywhere. Can’t tell if im not getting enough boost from the turbo or the Vtec is not kicking in. Wondering if I’m going crazy or it’s my imagination. I have a 01 GSR and that sucka still pulls like the day I bought it.

There is no vtec to kick in. Vtec is solely for partial throttle fuel economy and is disabled at WOT. It sounds as though you are having either a wastegate/turbo issue or a boost leak. Car should still be new enough to have the bumper to bumper warranty so why not take it to the dealer with your complaint and report back their findings?

Haven’t had a chance to take it to the dealer yet but this is how I fun with my Aspec…I use it to charge the GSR?

It's probably turbo lag or CVT transmission.

It’s a 6MT. Don’t think it has anything to do with a lag. The turbo on these cars is small so the lag is minimal. It does feel like it can be some sort of boost leak because at WOT it feels like it doesn’t hold the boost.
