Is an Extended Warranty Worth It on a 2023 Acura Integra?

Hi everyone,

I have a 2023 Acura Integra with about 39,000 miles. My factory warranty expires in September 2026, and I'm planning to keep the car long term.

I'm currently shopping for an extended warranty and have received quotes from Zurich ranging from about $4,000 to $5,100 depending on the term and mileage.

For those who own a 2023+ Integra:

- Did you purchase an extended warranty?
- If so, which company did you choose and what did it cost?
- Have you had any repairs after the factory warranty that made the warranty worthwhile?
- If you did not buy one, would you make the same decision again?
- Have there been any common problems, expensive repairs, or electronic issues on these cars that concern you long-term?

I average about 12,000 miles per year and plan to keep the car for many years, so I'm trying to decide whether the cost of an extended warranty is justified.

I'd appreciate hearing about your experiences and recommendations.

Very unlikely to run into anything worrisome until after six figure mileage. Honda/Acura is in the top tier of reliability. Put the $5k aside into a savings account and gain a few cents of interest on it.

its insurance like anything else, what is the value to you. At 5K I would not, but the Honda warranty should still be available from online dealers who do this in volume. i would expect plans would be well under 2500 depending on what you want.

I extended mine to 8/120K before first year of ownership was complete for under $1500, which changes the value equation for me: everyone is different.

Thanks. Do you remember which dealer you purchased the warranty from and which warranty company it was? I'm getting Zurich quotes around $4,000–$5,000, so I'm curious where you found an 8-year/120k plan for under $1,500.

Remember I did that before I hit 10K and my first year of ownership, prices did go up a few hundred bucks after that. In my case Saccucci Honda won the business. Should be some threads all over Honda forums about the current good ones if you poke around.

I personally have had better experiences with Vendor services contracts then third party, and at 5K that seems like German Car pricing, not Honda or Toyota pricing

Details matter, gold/silver/platinum coverage, deductibles etc.... there usually is a nice middle ground when comparing.

Thanks for the information. I realize my vehicle is much older and has more miles than yours did when you purchased coverage.

Do you happen to know if there are any Honda or Acura dealers still selling manufacturer-backed warranties for vehicles with around 39,000 miles? Any dealer recommendations would be appreciated.

Also, do you know if the plans you found through the online Honda dealers were Honda/Acura-backed warranties, or were they third-party plans?

These are 100% Honda service contracts, you can buy one up until the factory expires. I dont have any saved from 2 years ago, but the different plans and cost/co pays were sent back in a simple table. I sent 5 or so emails to known online companies, waited for responses.

I got rec's from searching recent threads across honda/acura forums because the car doesn't matter, just the MFG (Minivan groups are chatty for example)

This was before we had better AI engines to aggregate data, had to rely on google
