Love a 75 gallon. That 1:1:2 proportion is just right. What are you planning to keep in it? The slider? I have an aquatic turtle over 20 years old in a 75. UV sterilization on an Eheim canister keeps it clear and smelling ok. Those turtles are the toughest thing to keep in terms of odor.

Yes just the Yellow Belly going into a new bigger home. I always go with a filter rated way over the water amount and play with the media types until I get it right. So far no issues with smell but I have to build the stand still.

There is so much space I was also surprised. I transported a mini fridge as a favor and was told it wouldn't fit. They were wrong
