I used to be totally anal about keeping the car clean. Then I got involved in track stuff and found that it's not possible to keep a car pristine when on the track regularly. I'm through with that now, but it got me past the need to have a perfect car every day. It's more fun to drive it hard than to look at it, so I drive the piss out of it and wash it once a week, and sometimes I skip a week. Sorry, I know I'm not answering your question, but if you can get past the obsession of keeping it perfect, life will be easier. A car dealer friend of mine once said, "you know, by keeping that car so perfect, you're only building value for the next owner!" He had a point.

Totally can’t argue with your line of thinking at all. Keeping it clean while hitting the track a few times a month is very difficult. Especially when you add in work, pets, kids, spouse etc

I was diagnosed with ptsd with psychotic features a while back due to deployments to the Middle East. For me it was the opposite. Washing a car is so zen for me. It’s like my yoga 😂

if you’re near Denver bring it over and we can clean the exterior!

First, thank you for your service. Vietnam was the trauma of my generation. Wouldn't it be good if the politicians had to run the race rather than just fire the starter gun.
Yes, cleaning a car can indeed be a therapeutic experience. Go for it!
