Has anyone had a flat and successfully used the tire sealant/inflator kit?

Did it work or did you have to get your ITS towed? Either way how did it go?

I used it on my TLX when I managed to run over a construction staple. It worked long enough to limp to the dealer for a tire repair. Once I got there, they were able to clean out the sealant and plug the tire. Wasn't overly impressed with the effectiveness of the seal, but it did get me out of a bind. The service department did say that they can't always clean the sealant out and therefore can't effectively balance the tire, so there's definitely a potential to ruin the tire by using it.

Yes, I got a flat a few months back and the tire inflator worked just fine. Was able to drive it to an America's tire to have it cleaned out/repaired without issue.

Last June while driving, my Integra alerted me to low pressure in the passenger side rear tire and dropped rather quickly. Upon pulling off to the side of the road, I could not locate any damage to the tire, but the pressure was very low. I took the sealant and inflator out of the trunk, carefully read the instructions, used the sealant selection and then attempted to inflate the tire. It was at this point I realized the kit that Acura provides their customers is useless in an emergency. The sealant did not work as advertised and the tire would not hold air.

I had to Acura Roadside Assistance which was time consuming process to communicate my location and situation to the Acura Representative after which a tow to my Acura dealership was arranged. However, I had to wait 70 minutes roadside for the tow truck to arrive. This was due to the travel distance from the operator’s last tow to my location. This was extremely frustrating and dangerous.

Don't count on the Factory Tire Sealant and Inflator Kit because it only works on the smallest of punctures. My service advisor shared that he has had many complaints about this kit.

Recently tried two different flat in a can temp inflator/temp repair cans an it left the tire low on each approx 20psi but they both held just fine. Am doubtful about the inflation kit being good for more than just airing the tires myself
