At first I thought this only happens when I roll the passenger wheel back and forth, with no sound from the driver side wheel. Now I realize it’ll do it from either side.

I’m not sure if this is normal behavior for an LSD or not. It is barely audible from in the car with the windows down when brakes are first applied at low speed. If I’ve been driving forward and go forward again, no sound on brake application. The first time I back up, I can get the sound. If I reverse again without going forward it will not happen again. It of course returns when I go back forward (for one cycle).

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Ok, I think I’m crazy. I suspect I’ll find my 2006 accord 6MT will do this same thing (open diff).

This all started when I noticed the sound when pulling into the garage. It was only a couple weeks from when I did pads/rotors/fluid so my first thought was maybe I hadn’t properly torqued a caliper bolt. I slowly spiraled into madness from there.
