I currently drive a 2022 Civic SI and I'm looking to swap to an automatic.

The Civic Hybrid Hatch really appeals to me right now, but I would like to buy something a little bit more premium - I would like the lumbar support and nicer interior of the integra.

Is there any indication at all that the integra is getting the hybrid system from the civic? It's a sister vehicle after all... I think that might be a perfect car for me. I don't want the current 1.5L CVT variant, I think it would drive worse than my current SI.

I'd pay for an auto Type S too, but I know that chances of that is pretty much zero.

What do you mean by “drive worse”? If you’re looking for a softer ride then the Integra will be better all around because of the adaptive suspension. The drivetrain wouldn’t affect that.

If you’re looking for MPGs the CVT is pretty great. I get around 42 MPG in mine. Obviously the hybrid would be better, but the added cost would pretty much mitigate that variance.

If driving engagement is what you’re after then you should stick with a manual.

For what it’s worth, a CVT is extremely smooth. It actually feels like an EV.

100%, I'd be interested in a Type S as well, but my tastes have changed and I really want something practical and efficient and the Type S is not a good value new at all. The liftback on the Integra is my favorite feature.

Honda and Acura are being incredibly stubborn, and I doubt the Integra will receive the hybrid and same with the ADX. Anyone trying to convince me that babying a CVT is going to be equivalent of an actual hybrid system isn't considering street driving, smoothness, added power, having an electric AC compressor, and all the other benefits of having a hybrid.

A hybrid Integra would be an amazing competitor to the Prius considering the Prius is available with AWD and its top trims have ventilated seats, something the Integra desparately needs at its price point.

If you need a vehicle now, the closest thing to what you want is the Civic Hybrid, except at its price point, the Camry SE hybrid with AWD will give you better value, more tech, better fuel economy, more interior space, etc. but obviously the Civic will drive better.

Really good points overall and that was definitely a wish of mine before pulling the trigger on my own 2025 Integra, but I honestly doubt the hybrid would be in their sights unfortunately.
From their limited media updates from what I heard they are not intended to....not sure why they dont like listening to their own consumers ?‍♂

I test drove the CVT 1.5L Civic Touring back in 2021, it was "fine" and didn't really make me feel anything. The hybrid drivetrain gives a 6.2s 0-60, while the CVT is closer to 8s, should be more fun to drive and have smoother power delivery.

I went from ‘22 Si to ‘24 Integra, but I stuck with the 6MT. You’ll definitely like the Integra better! I’ve never driven the CVT Integra though.
I wonder if you’d wait for the Prelude? No telling when or if it’s coming here, however.

I ended up test driving the CVT integra, the interior is great but I didn't like the powertrain, car felt too slow for the money.

I waited for the 2026 refresh expecting a hybrid, which never happened.

Ended up just ordering a Civic Hatchback Sport Touring Hybrid.

The prelude won't work for me because I need 4 doors. I think the hatchback should be similar enough for daily driving.
