Just a reminder to anyone in the community that's tuned. Please add you car to this thread in the format in the first post: Vehicle: Total tuned time: Tuned miles driven: Tuning device(s) used: Tunes used: Fuel used: Additional related mods: Problems/issues: Driving style: Tuning...
  2. The Tuned 5th Gen Integra Experience & Reliability Thread

So, I run tuning reliability threads here, at CivicXI and CivicX as well. I've driven a tuned 1.5Turbo CVT 10th gen for 6+ years. The CVTs in our cars have proven to be surprisingly robust. Basically, don't brake launch it and it'll hold up well. Honda OEM fluid is all your really need and...
  3. The Tuned 5th Gen Integra Experience & Reliability Thread

100% yes. An off the shelf or base map will be fine for that.
  4. The Tuned 5th Gen Integra Experience & Reliability Thread

Guys, I've run the 1.5R Phearable tune for a long time on my 10th gen Civic. It's the best tune I've ever had and I've had a ton of different tunes and been tuned for almost 5 years total. Get your KTuner from Phearable, and get the tune thrown in free. Thank me later. Even Map 1 is far superior...

Thanks for adding your car. Definitely helps the community.

Datalogs are something that are an included part of the KTuner (and Hondata) software. They are used to check out and make sure things are running properly.

The base tunes while perfectly good with lots of options aren't as smooth or refined as the off the shelf tunes. The off the shelf tunes are mostly locked with less user adjustments. TSP and Phearable tunes are excellent. My personal preference is Phearable.

The Phearable tune is a single tune that contains 3 different maps. You change maps using the cc buttons (cruise control must be off) Map Switching Tutorial 1. Hold Cancel for a couple seconds 2. You'll notice the tachometer will change to map switching mode. (1,000 rpm represents map 1 --...
  9. The Tuned 5th Gen Integra Experience & Reliability Thread

Never a bad idea but at OTS power levels the stock clutches on the 10th gen Si have done rather well.
  10. The Tuned 5th Gen Integra Experience & Reliability Thread

So you guys don't know me but I'm sort of the tuned CivicX reliability guru at CivicX.com. Phearable (John Vega) and KTuner's head guy JR will vouch for me. If you maintain your car properly and aren't abusive, you should be fine. Obviously don't floor it stoplight to stoplight. And remember...
  11. The Tuned 5th Gen Integra Experience & Reliability Thread

Remember that KTuner has on the fly map switching. You literally have 3 different maps with varying boost levels. You use the cruise control buttons to change maps on the fly.

You'll find that almost all of the pro tuners prefer KTuner for the 1.5T engine. I've had a Hondata Flashpro and a KTuner V2. KTuner V2 FTW.

John Vega (Phearable) is an amazing tuner. What I like about his tunes is they feel as smooth or smoother than stock but when you put your foot into it, they scream.
  14. The Tuned 5th Gen Integra Experience & Reliability Thread

I've driven a tuned 1.5T turbo CVT Civic for nearly 5 years. Essentially the same drivetrain as the Integra. It's a night and day experience. Better throttle and turbo response makes for better day to day driveability and more power everywhere in the power band transforms the car (even with a...
  15. The Tuned 5th Gen Integra Experience & Reliability Thread

Just a reminder. If you're tuned, please add your car to this thread. The posting format is in the first post. It will help the community. Thanks.

You mean map 1? Keep in mind that the 1.5R tune should (I assume) have boost by gear open for editing. You can reduce boost in 1st and 2nd to limit wheelspin.
  17. The Tuned 5th Gen Integra Experience & Reliability Thread

I've been tuned for well over 4 years and have always taken my car into the dealer tuned for oil changes. Never had any issues. Trust me, they don't have time or any reason to check if you're tuned. On the other hand, obviously if you're taking your car in for a warranty related drivetrain...
  18. The Tuned 5th Gen Integra Experience & Reliability Thread

Thanks for being the first tuned Integra in the thread.
