I mean it's like 90% Civic. The shifter, The Center Console, The infotainment Screen, The door Panels are 90% Civic. Even the stitching on the armrest is the same as the Civic. The vents are the same design only broken up by plastic. The Switches, Dials, and HVAC along with placement are the...
I agree here. For better or worse the ILX had a similar Interior to what other Acura's had at the time. Yes. There were stuff taken out of the Civic such as the vent placement, glove box area and window switches but for the most part it looked like an Acura. The similarities to a Civic wasn't...
I agree with your points Robb. A CVT in reality is probably fine irl. The thing is from a marketing standpoint Acura marketed this as a performance vehicle and those in that market for sure want a traditional auto. For example a WRX has a 85% manual take rate with an available cvt. Meanwhile a...
I think people including myself don't want a CVT in the Integra becuase it will take away a bit of the Luxury and Performance aspect of it. CVTs tend to drone which isn't fun when daily driving or pushing a vehicle. As said before they tend to mimic shifts so why not have a real auto in there...
I hope I'm wrong but I feel like it might have been an assumption on the writers end becuase every other Acura has SHAWD. There wasn't any other information we did not know in the article such as automatic transmission or hp. The 2 dudes in the video posted yesterday talking about the Integra...
Well that kinda represents poor product planning on Acura's part. They should have balanced the style/ space issues of the TLX better. They knew it was smaller than a Civic on the inside. They had plenty of other vehicles to benchmark it against. They had plans to bring back the Integra over 6...
I would be alot of money that the Type S will definitely be a 40k car. Look at the landscape. Vehicles like the GTI and WRX hit 40k. The type S with similar performance but a more premium interior + an Acura badge will definitely be around 40k. In fact I would be surprised if the fully loaded...
I think the premium with the 11-Speaker Harman Kardon Speaker System plus Power Moonroof in manual is the best value and the one I'd probably go for. I hate how you have to go to the limited to get any sort of safety tech for the manual. I hate how eyesight is only available on the CVT.
I don't know about the TLX but in recent memeory we knew alot more about the MDX type S when they opened reservations for it. I think the only thing we didn't know was the price of it.
I agree the Civics are great at handling. But with the extended length, NVH and features I feel like this will likely lose the lightness that an Si has. Honda did a good job with power and handling with the type r and they can for sure apply some of that engineering here and achieve an excellent...
Personally I wanted something a bit quicker than an Si. I was initially disappointed that the new one only had 200hp. I was hoping that the Integra could find a gap between that and the type R. Something like 6.0-6.5 second 0-60 would be perfect imo. I'm not sure if they'll increase the power...
Yea something I noticed as well. It seems like you'll have have to go all the way to the Advance Package to get those things. Wouldnt be surprised if it's different in Canada since the Civic model over there has it
For fun I compared the A class to the new Civic Si. According to Car and Driver, the A class is faster 0-60 and the quarter mile. On Mercedes official website it's rated for 7.1 0-60 which is more inline with the Si. I'm sure its just fine for daily commuting
