Don't worry, once you have given up all hope it will show up at your doorstep in 3-4 weeks.
Jokes aside...that's a nightmare. Based on my limited knowledge of can-bus protocol, it would need some sort of programming to communicate with the other modules in the car, mainly for security, to...
To be fair there is a cause for everything. Your past experience sounds awful and you have every right to be upset. This thread is about the sticky steering which is a new issue and the goal is to hold the manufacturer accountable. I, personally, have experienced this the one time I detailed...
Those "torque stick" things are a ballpark guess at best. It's still recommended to use a torque wrench after those. Most of them also are designed to be used with the older pneumatic hammer design and the newer twin hammer cordless impacts make them even less accurate. Source: some experience...
At risk of going off-topic; I'm surprised that Porshe would not have a better track record with customer complaints and pushes it to the dealer. I assumed being lower volume than honda would allow for a better manufacturer-customer experience.
Ive read TPMS on these cars need to learn with driving. I wouldn't worry unless it becomes a recurring issue. Then it would be time to dig in...or take it to the dealer and let them try.
It smelling of oil and gas sounds more like an active leak. If it was just a spill you wouldn't smell gas. It sounds to me like you have a warranty trip in your future, unfortunately. Keep an eye on it and update anyway to be sure!
I see what you are talking about. It could be residue from filling initially. I'm not seeing fresh oil. I'm seeing old dirty has been there a while oil. Wipe it off and check back later. If it shows back up you've got a slow valve cover gasket leak. Wouldn't be unheard of and is a very common...
As somebody who has dealt with Honda of North America (there is no Acura of North America to file a complaint with), I can safely say that there is a <5% chance they will do anything. I believe in my situation they may have contacted the dealer which sped things up, but other than that they were...
When you say the remark has character...are we talking so much character that the neighbors and my sleeping kids will notice a cold start at 5:30am? Asking for a friend...
You may be feeling the motor mounts slamming. IMO they are way too soft in these cars. Reversing up my driveway is the most annoying feeling to me. I also can hear the movement if a car is beside mine as i hit the engagement point while doing so.
While this can be done (with plenty of experience) it is not the safe method. You are at risk of under or over torquing the lugs. Under torqued? They fall off. Over torqued? The silent killer: metal becomes fatigued, stretches, threads break, stud breaks, etc.
Have I ever used a half inch...
Ooooh now im intrigued. Do you hear a clunk when reversing too? I can feel the whole engine slam through the mounts when backing into my driveway (slight incline).
Definitely do not try to shift into reverse without being at a complete stop. Most manual transmissions use an unsynchronized straight cut reverse gear. Without being at a complete stop, you are guaranteed to be causing some sort of damage.
You likely are hearing the clutch pedal hitting the...
