This is all garbage. Dealers hopefully will go away one day. There’s no reason we can’t order through the manufacturer and have reputable mechanics who can submit warranty claims.
My dealer is small but they committed to MSRP. I have about 4 large dealers in a 40 mile radius that will prob get 10plus but they wouldn’t commit to MSRP initially. After the price was announced 2 of them said they would sell for MSRP , but I already committed to the dealer that guaranteed MSRP
I was speaking about allocations , not the reserve. I was unable to get a reserve car. My dealer is getting only 4 allocations and I am 2 on the list ( pending color combo ).
It would be nice if they started giving dealers some sort of estimate on the timelines for the allocations they were given. I’d like to know when this car might show up.
It is rennlist. Porsche club of America also has some good articles and live blogs they do as well. The Macan is universally lived SUV , but a lot consider it more of a large hatchback than an CUV/SUV
Understood on normal cars and trucks. I’m just speaking about special cars. The special edition trucks go fast still it seems but the average to low spec ones do tend to sit
No matter what these cars end up doing on the used market , I should make myself clear that these cars should just be driven and enjoyed. All cars are depreciating assets and the people paying out the wazoo for for cars just because they are rare should really be left to the millionaires and...
They are making more money. With lower volume more people buy the cars just to keep up w the Jones’. Also since cars aren’t rotting away on the lots incentives are way way way down. Porsche literally just increased their prices by over 5% average because they claim customers will pay it...
Aspec manual ? Or CVT? The manual will hold value a bit more because those cars are getting more and more rare. Searching for things like a 911 and Cayman show the manuals are usually more expensive and they are also gone quicker.
I’m not seeing a 10k drop in one year. What sporty car out there currently has a 10k drop in this current market? And if you think the market will depreciate as the economy starts to tank , I’d say it’s never ever going back. Caymans that were 20k in 2019 are now 30k with more mileage and...
Different strokes for different folks. I kept looking at the FL5 while waiting for the ITS and I felt I was settling if I bought the CTR. The plus R mode apparently isn’t even usable on a track unless it’s glass.
I guess it’s dealer decision. Mine said they will prepare it for test dives the day it arrives for the clients with deposits. But , it’s also the color combo I want white/red , so I may not get my vehicle right away since I dont see another white /red coming right behind it . I also don’t want...
Price difference for me is easy to justify for the looks alone. The civic is nice , but is very basic just like the new accord. I wouldn’t buy a new WRX if it had this power train and Hondas awesome manual for 5k because , well it’s ugly.
Everyday driver will also give an accurate review. Like the poster above , I too lean heavily on them and Savagegeese. I don’t think Everyday will get invited to this review though. Don’t think they were there at the Honda events and they didn’t get the M2 invite either.
To me if you need 6 years to pay for a car , you should t be buying it. It’s a depreciating asset for the most part unless you lock it up in a garage and only put 3-4k on a year.
I agree IMS is prob overblown , but the mental factor is real. I’d be thinking about it all the time , seems...
