Yes...the day I bought the car I test drove a new Integra and we couldn't get the numbers where I wanted them so I asked if they had a CPO. They did, and we did the deal on that car. I never drove it. On the way home I was immediately disappointed that something was wrong with the steering. I...
Picked up the car this afternoon. I could immediately tell a difference in the steering. Not just the lack of sticking, but the steering feel was better, especially the on center feel.
I've attached a copy of my paperwork, but for the TLDR crowd, the part number used was:
53620-3S5-A34
It...
It would be hard to get a video of it because it's not something you see as much as it something you feel.
Best way to describe it is a momentary increase in steering effort followed by a rapid return to normal effort. So for example, you are trying to keep the car centered in the lane and you...
I was told the same thing. The initial ETA of the part was April. The service manager said he requested a "critical part request" or something to that respect.
I was also offered a rental car if I felt my car was unsafe. I declined as I don't think it's unsafe for ME to drive. I would not put...
I have the CVT model and I came from a manual car. It takes some getting used to, but it's actually a pretty good transmission. Lets the engine sit right in the power band. But if it really bugs you, just put it in manual mode and it emulates a traditional geared transmission. The funny thing...
I also own a Lexus. My wife drives it. It has its share of rattles, but it's also 6 years old with 92,000 miles on it. It's showing it's age for sure. Doors no longer shut with a solid "thunk". There are a few rattles. But overall, it's still in good condition given that my wife totally abuses a...
Yeah...it's disappointing to buy a new car and on day 1 you realize it has a defect...but there are no parts to fix it. I'm getting close to two months of ownership, and no fix in the works.
I love the car, but it does have a quality issue. I have the "sticky steering" issue that will require a replacement of the steering rack. It's under warranty, so not a huge deal, but I expect more from Honda.
It's really just the market doing what the market does. Most people who buy Civics aren't car enthusiasts outside of the Type-R folks and the Civic Si. If you asked someone who wasn't a car person what a good reliable small car is, they'll more than likely say "Honda".
People looking for a...
Another update.
Received a call from Honda today. The agent verified my information and said a case worker would be contacting me next week to assist with getting the part. She said they could put in a "critical" request. I believe the dealer told me they have already done that, but it wouldn't...
Got an email from Acura Customer Service and they asked me to provide a service invoice where I reported the issue to the dealer, who I am working with at the dealer, when the issue started, what had been done to correct it, etc.
That's also promising. When I have had to deal with Honda...
Looks like the NHTSA is diving in to this issue deeper. A letter was sent to Honda on Dec. 20th.

I got a call today from the service manager. He said that there is "no news" but he wanted to keep in touch. He did offer me a rental car if I felt my car was unsafe to drive. I told him that I didn't think it would be unsafe other than perhaps on ice/snow where overcorrecting could cause a...
I can't speak about the Integra, but many cars have a low voltage "power save" mode. Once the battery voltage drops to a specific point, the vehicle will shut down battery draws.
