  1. Looks Like I’m Joining Another Car Forum

Back in the CVT loaner while my ITS gets the checklist of accessories installed. I have to give Honda credit, it’s a very convincing one and doesn’t feel gritty or slushy. I think they did the CVT right. While a CVT in theory can have infinite gear ratio, a driver expects a certain feel and...
  2. ITS Drivers Window Rattle/Noise

I hate when dealers use the “they all have that rattle” cop out. I’d call their bluff and say let’s see if another Integra on the lot has the same rattle. Similar with people calling out the front bumper alignment lines, “they’re all imperfect, deal with it”. It’s bogus. I understand it can be...
  3. Adjustable Ambient Cabin Lighting

Yet the Accord Touring HUD has a tach/gear display and ours doesn’t…
  4. Interior Dash Trim Piece Replacement?

You could probably get a wrap shop to cover it with something else (carbon fiber, satin black, whatever). I did similar to that stupid wood trim piece in my Tesla.
  5. DRL Tinting Legality

Thanks for reducing whatever hope I had left for humanity... o_O
  6. Defect in shifter/gearbox or is this normal?

I remember my FG2 as well, I had the third-gear TSB issue that was fixed under warranty. Also would get wheel hop and grinding on first->second shifts at redline. Got the Boomba motor mounts and it fixed both the wheel hop and shift grind which I started to think were related. I know the ITS is...
  7. The Integra is a major let down

Part of me misses that in a way. One of my only "complaints" about the ITS is that I can't "feel" what the car is doing in terms of engine and speed. Granted I'm comparing against the NA1 NSX which is mid-engine V6 right behind you, and the AP S2000 which is high-strung to get any power out of...
  8. The Integra is a major let down

Curb weight is 3611 lbs, with a 2.5L inline-4 making 300hp/311tq? In a RWD car.. not even AWD? Lol wat. For the GT2 spec you get a bit more in the 3.3L turbo V6 but you're at 3822 curb weight still only pushing 368/376. Want AWD? Add another 200 lbs... No wonder that thing handles like a boat.

No one should fault you for picking the CVT, everyone has their own choices and I have to admit the Integra's feels pretty smooth. A lot smoother than the 10th gen Civics, not sure how the 11th gens fare.
  10. Nissan engine/car lineup

It's the same situation with Mitsubishi. There's lots of cars they could bring back or modernize with a 4-cyl turbo setup. It's a bit of a head-scratcher how they could have such history with the 3000GT and Evo series cars, and now...you can't even get a standard Eclipse (no, the bastardized...
  11. New integra: Question about the windows

Just put your finger in it while it’s closing, then sue Acura for injury. That way they have to do a whole recall for it. You think I’m being funny but it happened with the Teslas. I remember the software update for it and recall notice in the mail.
  12. Acura has sold 1,871 Integra Type S units since June 2023

In 5 years the ITS will be a coveted car. As the world moves more and more towards “boring” cars and increased emissions and safety standards these kinds of cars will be almost impossible to make in 2030+. The designer of the S2000, Shigeru Uehara, would talk about this every so often as the...
  13. ITS into something more practical…?

Model Y. Why would I want to buy a GM rebadged as a Honda? Watch the videos on it, everything inside is GM down to the steering wheel, infotainment, key, and door chimes It’s based on the Ultium platform and Honda has already basically terminated the partnership (they’re working on their own...
  14. Bad Driver, am I right?

Maybe it's just my neck of the woods, but I still see mostly Ka-band radar with some K-band here and there. The thing about laser is that they have to be stationary and pointing it outside the window. I have seen some of the motorcycle cops using it on the interstates. It's also not very easy...
  15. ITS into something more practical…?

If you are worried about dents, chips, scratches and other "road wear" you should get PPF + ceramic coating on it. I have it on my AP2 and I'm amazed at how bulletproof it is. There's been several times I've had the "pleasure" of a dump truck launching tiny rocks everywhere and hearing the...
  16. Bad Driver, am I right?

You would be surprised how many people get into accidents like that and pocket the insurance money.
  17. Bad Driver, am I right?

I agree with 1-3 but #4 is just someone who hasn't invested in a proper radar detector. I guess you could argue its 50% situational awareness and "don't be a downright idiot" (like going 80mph in a school zone). Reminds me I need to order the BlendMount + MirrorTap kit for my Uniden R7... What...
  18. 25 on Acura Site, no Type S option until summer

    Imagine a 3000GT remake.
  19. HUD question

The Accords are great, but the days of a V6 manual Accord are over. If you want Touring level package you’re going hybrid + CVT for the current gen. They just aren’t going to be performance oriented. I was even looking at the TLX Type-S for the lazy power V6 but sadly they’re auto only. Going...
  20. HUD question

AP2 style HUD? Oh man… now I’m jealous.
