  1. Replacement Dipstick

You could probably burn it off with a torch.
  2. Brake hold button

But, you don't need to engage brake hold to use the hill hold feature. It's always there.
  3. Brake hold button

    And hill hold.
  4. Help! No one can figure out this issue

I'm an old fart who has been through many cars with various degrees of mods. My 2025 Integra S is bone stock and will remain so. As others have suggested, your best bet is to find a tech who is competent with your tuning. The factory spends a ton of money on engineering these cars. In my...
  5. Brake hold button

My goodness, its use is optional, use it or don't use it. We don't need to question everyone's preference.
  6. Brake hold button

There will be a small amount of movement after shutting down, as the crank completes or reverses the stroke it was on. At that point, the mechanical slack is removed and, absent a strong force, the car should not move.
  7. Brake hold button

Exactly my point. The perfect answer to a nonexistent problem.
  8. Brake hold button

It's just a convenience that allows the car to remain stopped while you take your foot off the brake pedal. I think it encourages a bad habit. If you want the car stopped, I think you should be taking some affirmative action to do it.
  9. Oil Recommendation!

When you say the Mobil 1 is "much better than the Honda stuff," you obviously notice some differences. What are they? Fuel smell in the oil is not the result of the oil quality. It can be caused by several mechanical or fuel issues, but not the oil.
  10. Brake hold button

That was my status, first gear, no e brake engaged.
  11. Brake hold button

That's the hill hold feature, totally separate from brake hold.
  12. Brake hold button

Okay, I did my little experiment. I parked uphill on a grade, one on which I would normally engage the brake, put it in first gear and shut down. I got out and pushed against the rear of the driver door frame, which is why I used an uphill grade. I could not move the car. Now, does that mean...
  13. Brake hold button

I'll give it a try this afternoon. Not sure if I can recruit an assistant, but I have a place in mind where I can safely park on an incline and at least try it myself. It's an incline on which I would normally use the brake, so it might be a good test. If you see a news report about some nitwit...
  14. Brake hold button

While it's not a best practice, I don't believe that it's totally fair to say that leaving it in gear will not hold the car. First and reverse are both very low gears in this car, and it takes considerable force to move the engine. If I park on a steep incline, I engage the brake. It's easy...
  15. Brake hold button

I guess it can come in handy in certain situations, but I've used it only to experiment. I don't use it for the same reason I don't use the parking brake more, it's electronic. If the battery dies, you can't release the brake before getting the car started. I know, not likely, but I always...
  16. Oil Recommendation!

Why risk an online recommendation? Call the dealer. I'm not sure if they will recommend a brand, but think it is full synthetic 0W-20.
  17. Bolt pattern for A-spec is 120mm not 114mm?

If you remove the wheel and measure from outside edge to opposite center, I believe you will find that it is 4.5", or ll4.3 mm. I think that you are letting the lug nut influence your measure estimate. You have to work with the stud. If your car is an A Spec, it has 5x114.3 wheels.
  18. Bolt pattern for A-spec is 120mm not 114mm?

Five-bolt patterns aren't measured exactly CTC, but that's different oddity. The 100mm spacing converts to 3.94", so your 4 inch estimate is right on.
  19. Bolt pattern for A-spec is 120mm not 114mm?

The answer, it's NOT 114.3, it's 100, the only other OE Subaru size. Your own measurement is verification.
  20. Bolt pattern for A-spec is 120mm not 114mm?

I looked at your photo again, and the Subaru wheel is a 5X100 pattern. A 114.3 is 4.5", and 100 is a bit less than 4". Your measurement makes it pretty clear. Subaru uses both sizes on many different cars. A two year old WRX should have the 114.3 pattern, so it aopears that someone was mistaken...
