I totally agree with this post. I have almost 16,000 miles on my Apex Blue 6MT. It's had tons of rattles, some experience of the sticky steering (dealer can't replicate), and I LOVE the car!
The interior quality is not befitting a luxury car - hard stop. And it doesn't matter to me at all...
That's ironic. I've had 10 sticks and never had a tougher time telling what gear I'm in than this one. I think it's a combo of the gates and gear ratios being super close. I have shifted from 6th to 6th plenty of times!
Agree, the 6MT in my '07 TSX is slightly better than my '23 A Spec Tech Integra. Both are amazing compared to most other makes I've sampled. I know it's not a popular opinion, but I also like BMW manuals.
I bought a new 2016 BMW 328i 6MT and although it's not a popular opinion, I loved that shifter/clutch combo. It felt very smooth.
My Integra A Spec 6MT does need more effort to get into the gates than that BMW or my 07 TSX 6MT This might be what you are experiencing.
I think the best thing...
After having two TLX loaners, I am still surprised how little I desire a car which should be an upgrade from the Integra. Other than interior materials, there is nothing it does better (in regular or Type S trims) than it's little brother.
I would take the higher amount between CarMax and Carvana and be done with it. Since the car you want is private owner, no ability to trade and I doubt dealers will give you more. Private sale would take a while and probably only net $1,500 over the Carvana number.
Good idea on this poll. It definitely seems to be more frequent in the 6MT, not sure how many CVT owners are on here. However, my son has a '23 CVT so it is really easy to feel the differences in steering. I haven't had the sticking in my 6MT addressed since it doesn't happen until warmed up...
Knocking on wood, surprisingly not bad. I'm at 12,000 miles and 17 months and still looking good. I am pretty diligent about trying to keep it clean so that helps.
Ironically, my son has a Tech in red and those seats are harder to keep looking decent. Part of it is use, but also part of it is...
I had my 2010 Mazda 3 GT's clutch burnt out by a valet. The car was less than 2 years old with about 10,000 miles on it following a family wedding. The car smelled as it came around, I took possession of the car since it was so late for my 4 year old but kept the parking slip just in case. I...
Exactly this, the A Spec 6MT will feel rather similar to give you a decent gauge. I had a '16 328 6MT and my wife drives a Macan S. All 3 are great vehicles. If you really want a manual, nobody does it better than Acura/Honda. If that's not a huge consideration, you might prefer the interior...
