I don't know. 155 is already very narrow compared to the 265 tires on the car. Also, don't know the RL spare wheel specs, so don't know if a 115 tire would fit OK on the rim. And I don't think the spare would sit lower as the tire isn't really wider then the wheel itself.
Are the roads any good around where you live? They'll be worst in winter, so more sidewall is a good thing (18").
Also, with cold weather and snow, you won't be able to drive as aggressively as in the summer, so narrower 18" are better IMO (narrower tires are better to cut through the snow then...
Find a site where you can compare different wheel sizes with drawings. It shows where both wheels would be, so you can choose the right offset.
Don't forget to have TPMS compatible wheels.
And be sure that the spokes will clear the front brakes!
Don't go +42 or +45 offset with 18x8. Stay with 40 offset with 18x8 wheels as yo need to clear the front calipers. Not all wheels will fit, be careful! It depends on the design of the wheel and spokes. I had to do much research to be sure that the FC04 would fit and clear the calipers. Had to...
I went with 18x8 wheels (can put 225 or 235 tires on them) with + 40 offset. Those wheels sits exactly at the same place as the OE wheels. I would not suggest +35 offset as the wheels will poke out and throw water/slush/snow all over the doors (it already does a bit with +40 wheels). Verify the...
You need 3 "clean" driving cycles for the codes to just be stored and not be effective. So 3 drive cycles without the problem.
I don't know what exactly is a drive cycle, but it is something like the engine temp must reach normal operating temp, you need to go a certain speed for a certain...
I can really understand you. On my side, I wanted to disable the lane keep assist as when I move over the line to let some space for a bike, the car always wanted to go back in the line and risking hitting the bicycle! Tried so many times in the infotainment to disable it without success (or it...
At least you can turn off most of this if you want in the ITS. You need to do it through the right little wheel on the steering wheel, not via the infotainment screen.
If you have lights or codes, the system probably won't activate.
But be aware that when there are no codes, the system can activate for no reason. Happened to me once: out of nowhere, the car though there was an obstacle, lost all power and had "BRAKE" flash in the cluster. Lasted like a second...
Had so much problems with Eibach springs in the past that I'll stay OEM from now on.
Same with KONI sports shocks.
Even if they have a lifetime warranty, when a part fail, you'll have to wait for 2-4 weeks to get a new one, and you'll have to pay again for installation. So you'll loose usage...
Yeah, it is quite stupid that insurance should help but but they really don't...
And when you claim for something bigger (like a stolen car), they'll try to give you the least they can.
But since it is illegal to drive without insurance, we're stuck with it!
It is complicated here with insurance... If you claim once, it's OK. A second time will like double your premium. If you get to 3-4 claims, it'll probably get very hard to just get insurance.
So I prefer to claim when it is really necessary (costly accident or car theft).
Anyway, my franchise...
