Is it just me or did they essentially steal the TEP (slightly more golden) and the ITS rims for the 2026?
Edit: nevermind, I'm stupid. It's a CGI, the person...
"But officer, I was only trying to not get little rocks stuck in between my brakes." ... :p
It's not an exact science but I find it happens more when I turn. Like if I'm going absolutely straight, I doesn't happen but if I take a bunch of 90 degree turns, it's that much more likely.
Didn't the 2025 price jump up by about $2000CAD?
Also don't hold me to it but I'm fairly certain the tariff happens at the time it clears customs across the boarder. There's nothing Acura can do other than make the entirety of the Canadian spec ITS's quickly and get them across the boarder in...
Toyota is really turning the corner from boring beige with their new line up, and the new Prius is definitely a looker, but I still couldn't get over the stigma of it.
I'd do a Civic Hybrid in a heartbeat instead.
Non directional tires it's like you say, but I simplify it as "Straight back and across to front"
As for interval, I do it when it's up on the lift for oil changes. This year was 10,000km (6k miles) but it depends what kind of driving you do. Highway driving versus a NASCAR oval would have me...
I'd only push it if the temperature is below 60F and I'm highway driving.
Like evanescent says, these cars can pull G's and low fuel will definitely starve the engine if you're on empty.
The fuel also cools the pump so that's why I never run low in the dead of summer.
That said I think I've...
With how much I played Gran Turismo and Forza over the years, I can visualize most tracks and I know exactly what you mean about Laguna Seca vs. VIR.
I can visualize a whole lap of LS clearly in my head but everyone always comments how crazy the corkscrew elevation change is, and how no video...
They might also be over estimating so that if they need a bit more kilometers to prep it, a customer won't flip out.
It's easier to say 30-35km and deliver it with 15km than to say 10-20km and deliver with 30km.
We'll see. Anyway I hope you get it soon and with minimal kilometers
Sounds reasonable. Example, if your dealership has to drive 10km to get to the nearest gas station that has 93 octane gas, it's justifiable.
Also what is the rail yard like in Toronto? If there's a lot of shuffling and distance from train to truck, the 15-20km from factory can be possible...
9km on mine.
Basically under 10km, it literally did nothing more than get delivered and the minimum for PDI.
Under 25km I think is a reasonable expectation, over 100km somebody drove it for fun and in between 25-100km, I'd ask where they come from.
Like for example my Civic was delivered with...
Good idea. I almost always have a full gallon of washer fluid in the trunk and regularly top off the fluid with another container, but no spray bottle so it wasn't an option.
In that case a bottle of de-iceing spray might be handy but like frenzal said, it depend how bad your winters are.
No problem, glad I could bring perspective.
It happened first hand on my Si. After driving in deep snow and parking it outside, it froze to the rim and added a significant amount of weight. By the time I got up to speed on the next drive it felt like the wheel was going to come off, it was so...
My opinion, go as open as possible in terms of spoke/rim face design, so the TSR-X.
I can't tell you how annoying it is when the snow builds up and you have to poke at it through smaller openings that are big enough to let snow accumulate but small enough that it doesn't allow you to...
I use the NOCO GENIUS1. Relatively inexpensive for what it offers. 99.9% sure you can leave it running all winter but I flip it on for 6-12h every 2 weeks for peace of mind.
With that said, one more month and I'll be back on the road :spaz:
I don't know about you but mine are fitted well enough I don't use any clips other than a few for added safety on the driver mat.
Everything else is chucked in and after a bit of time unrolling from shipment, it just fits.
I have always gone Viofo for best value.
It's neither the best in terms of video quality or features and you can get other ones cheaper, but when it goes on sale (pretty much once a month), you'd struggle to find a better bang for buck dashcam.
I have a Mini2 in the ITS and am happy with it.
Exactly. You still have to press the button underneath to pop it.
The only scenario I can think of is if you've walked away from the car but your kid forgot something in the trunk and you don't want to also unlock the doors, you'd use the button. Otherwise about as useful as turn signals on a BMW.
The Hakka's are the best overall, for me at least. I had the Hakka R2 as my first set of winter tires that lasted me 6 seasons. I ended up going with XIce 3 when replacing (this was 2018 and the Snow version wasn't out yet) simply because the Hakka's were so hard to find and the Michelin's more...
I doubt it is the case, but I still wonder if the Canadian spec car which comes from the factory with heated steering wheel, if the seats have beefier heating elements which is why opinions might differ.
